Perfect Fit
OEM part is a perfect fit for 2008 Tahoe, simple installation. No more Continous pump knockoff while refueling. Great $. BTW installer must blow charcoal beads Out of evac. Line thru filler neck that goes into fuel tank. Blow into tank 2 to 3 times. Problem solved yes!!! Use YouTube for more information on how to.

Fitted perfectly and able to pump gas
It fitted my 2012 Escalade and not hard to put on. I was able to pump gasoline back into my tank without pump going off. I felt the engine running a little bit smoother but it just might be me. Updated - The gasoline pump starting going off again every 2 gallons. I had to vacuum the lines with a handheld home vacuum cleaner and blow the lines, vapor canister and gasoline tank (without taking off). Several carbon pellets were vacuum and others came out when blowing the gasoline tank through the gas cap. I saw some youtube videos. I didn't take the part off nor lower the gas tank. So far, is working great and no more gas pump going off. Good Luck. The Vapor Canister was not the problem and still have the one bought from Amazon.

Exact OEM match
Appears to be a well-made duplicate of the OEM canister. Easy to install, other than having to lie on my back working overhead under my vehicle and fighting with the snap-on connectors on the OEM lines. I ended up cutting one of the nipples off the old canister in order to free the line. Note that your line from the fuel tank to the canister may be clogged and will need to be cleared of charcoal pellets. If pellets pour out of the old canister when you remove it, chances are that pellets are also clogging the line to the tank. This may involve dropping the tank to access the opposite end of the fuel line at the tank and then blowing out the line with compressed air. I used a different method to unclog the line that did not involve dropping the tank but I would not recommend it due to possible risk of explosion. If after installing the new canister you have trouble filling the fuel tank without the fuel handle shutting off, the line is clogged. If you are getting a P0449 code after installation, you may need to replace the vent valve and/or purge value, both of which are easy to change.

I can finally pump gas without resetting the pump lever every few seconds.
I started with my purge valve AC Delco 214-1105 and the canister filter that sits to the side of this main canister without any improvement. I finally ordered this unit for my 2004 Yukon XL 1500 with the 5.3 vortec gas only configuration and it resolved my problem. Now I can simply leave the gas pump nozzle until it is completely full and my fuel gauge reads full. Very difficult to install without a jack and jack stands but I made it happen. All you need is a socket wrench, a small flat head screwdriver and a flashlight. PROS: -Fixed my gas pumping issues -Relatively inexpensive -No special tools required CONS -Slightly smaller than the original 3.3L Canister and doesn’t fit into the bracket the way the original did (see pictures) -A real pain to get to

Is this a fake part? (Update maybe not)
I thought I would be safe ordering this through the "AC Delco" store if it is actually legitimate. It wasn't cheap so hoped it would be genuine. Either way it only lasted 8 months and started puking charcoal all through the emissions system. Now I have to remove the entire evap system and fuel tank to blow out all of the lines. I did this prior to install and all lines and components were clear. Buying one guaranteed to be original would be better at twice the price considering how much work it takes for R&R and clean out. Not sure what problem was but after cleaning out valve a couple of times no more charcoal pellets. No more check engine light seems to be running fine now. Either some where left in the canister during manufacturing or even though I pulled the tank and blew out all lines I might have missed some. Running Good. All happy now.

Charcoal Pellets
Part is great. If you are ordering this part because of "SLOW" fuel fill up and or check engine light is on it has probably ruptured internally and you have charcoal pellets in all of your EVAP system. It may fix your problem for a while but those pellets floating around will cause you problems later. Best to go ahead and remove fuel tank and remove all emission lines for cleaning. Emptier the tank is the easier it will be to work with. Once lines are removed one puff of air will not be enough. You can not do it manually. You will need a compressor and to blow out each line from both ends multiple times to get all the pellets out. If you have not done this before find a "how to" video and watch it. You may need to watch it multiple times to remember all the steps. As stated earlier part is great but don't mess up a good part by an insufficient job or over filling your gas tank which is number one cause of part going bad.

I cannot find a place to let amazon now about the error so maybe mentioning this here will help. I received this item and it did not fit my 2006 escalade. After close inspection I discovered that the amazon #B000EQVSME sticker is on a gm #22963841 box rather than a gm #15109431. The 15109431 is the correct one for my application but because the amazon sticker was on the wrong box I recieved the 22963841 instead. The ad is accurate with pics and part number but the B000EQVSME tag must have been accidentally put on the wrong box. No big deal if this was the only one to get tagged like this, but if the whole shipment was then lots of people are going to get the wrong one. I ordered a replacement and am hoping the correct one comes this time.
