ESV Large Print Personal Size Bible, Red Letter (TruTone, Forest/Tan, Trail Design): Holy Bible, English Standard Version Imitation Leather – Large Print, May 29, 2020

While ultimately I decided to return this Bible, I struggled with the decision. Let me tell you why.I was shopping for a nice Bible for my dad’s birthday. He turned 69 this year. This Bible has a very nice cover which is made to look and feel like leather. The colors are earthy and peaceful. The outside edges of the pages are a golden color, which elevates the appearance of the Bible. This Bible has an attached ribbon bookmark that is super convenient and also contributes to overall elegance of the book. The print of this edition is XL! This Bible can be read with ease by anyone in any age group. A neat touch is the first letter beginning the chapter is a special font, adding to the elegant aesthetic of this Bible. Lastly, this edition of the Bible has “red letters”. For anyone who doesn’t know, the red letters are Jesus’ spoken words. The red letters make it easier to pick out Jesus’ words in the middle of a lesson or conversation.Unfortunately, the main feature I wanted specifically for my dad, this Bible was NOT a Study Bible. I have a Study Bible and my dad wanted one similar to mine. Study Bibles include much more information than a standard Bible. The extra information can include timetables, visual representations of the Temple, visual representations of the area covered by the disciples evangelism, historical and cultural context and more.Since this Bible wasn’t fitting my dad’s preference, I struggled with whether I should return it. The Bible has so many good qualities, I didn’t want to send it back. I have a Study Bible that I very much enjoy, so I decided it was impractical to keep this Bible

Large print is easy on the eyes. Paper is very thin, yet incredibly strong. No fear of tearing or crinkling under normal use.Pages are gilted, nice touch.I forgot what the cover actually is, but it is very well done. Soft and sturdy, it feels like a real leather-bound bible for a fraction of the price.It is printed in China.

Very nice cover.The print is easy to read.The printing format is nice, and the red letter edition is always a blessing.

Large print, no need to strain eyes

This is a very good Crossway Bible. Excellent cover. Very easy to read text. A little more effort to break in than Bibles I have gotten in other translations from other publishers, but once done, is a a very good Bible. This one is my primary reader. I have always preferred genuine leather, and ordered this bible in that too, but like this one enough that I gave the genuine leather one to my wife and kept this one.

I needed a Bible with Large print and with all the local Christian Books stores closing so happy I could get it here

I really like this ESV Large Print Bible—the size is perfect, and the text is easy to read. Even though it’s not real leather, it looks and feels nice with a classic design. My only frustration is that they keep updating the translation. While I agree with some of the changes, the fact that they’re reverting things back proves they should just leave it alone. Still, a great Bible overall.

My first bible I’ve purchased, and I’ve enjoyed reading it nightly. The pages are crisp and tend to stick together a tad but that’s no big deal. Looks great and I would recommend.
