Loved the first edition, great system, excellent detail to the realism, and very high quality components. Only criticism of the 1st/2nd edition was that it was a bit slow to play, some decisions were too difficult/impactful (eg choosing a unit to activate) and thus people spent ages making them, and all the book keeping of AP points was time overhead. Well no more in 3rd, just do whatever you want, with whatever unit, whenever you want. The d10 dice roll is all you need now! Much more pace/flow to the game now, and perfects it imho. Yes, it's a bit more random and less competitive now, but what it loses in that area it more than makes up for just sheer fun. The random spent element adds some tension to the dice rolls.
