Ring Fit Adventure - Nintendo Switch

I am not athletic. If I go to the gym, I either run on the treadmill or use the squat rack. That's kind of all I ever learned how to do. When the gyms closed, I knew I could exercise at home with minimal equipment, but... how exactly? I felt lost.I was gifted Ring Fit, and I'm a complete convert! Even if I don't see results in 1 day, my in-game character gained a whole level in one day! So it creates the instant results and feeling of accomplishment on a daily basis that I've wanted. Gamification has always been a tool that's worked for me, so it's really no surprise! I'm not going to say that I leap out of bed with joy and I can't wait to play - it is still exercise after all - but I don't lay in bed dreading the trip to the gym.Ring Fit has also taught me exercises I can use even if I'm not playing the game. After two months of playing, I can confidently say I know exercises to work my arms, core, and legs, in addition to stretching that actually stretches. Parts of me are sore that I didn't even know could be sore!The game continues to surprise me with new exercises and fun little "gimmicks" to keep things fresh and exciting. Just when I thought I I'd discovered everything, I'm paddling a boat with my abs or powering a zip-line with my arms! One of my favorite mini-games is the "Squattery Wheel," where you slowly squat to create a pottery shape!I loved this so much I purchased this as a gift for my very athletic, gymnast sister. She also loves it! It really is fitness for all skill levels.Yes, Nintendo sells this game for $80 - IF you can find it in stock. I tried for about a month to grab one at retail price, and I could not. So I purchased this game for my sister at $130, and I consider it to be more than worth it. But that's probably because I already own one, so I've played it and I know it's worth it. Just trust me if you want to exercise at home and you like gamification, it's worth the money. Most home workout equipment is seeing higher prices and shortages right now.

Ok, so I didn’t realise I could have got this cheaper elsewhere. But that is my fault for not looking.However it was in stock and I wanted it.It came within 2 days.As a game it’s good. Obviously the game is just a way of getting you to exercise so it’s no mario or call of duty quality of game.The ring seems strong enough for purpose.As a way of getting fit, it’s early days and I’m unfit. But yes you can feel it works you.I over did it first time but you can alter intensity. It also has mini games which again are fun whilst serving a fitness purpose.You can calibrate the ring every-time so it alters as you get fitter. Which is good for multiple users too.Forget age limit it’s down to strength. My 5 year old son is able to squeeze the ring enough play, so great for burning excess energy in lockdown. Although 2 year old can’t.In my opinion even though I paid £40 more than shop price, it was still worth it.But finding my 5 year old is fitter. (Must be faulty😂)

So sore after using! Definitely a work out! Slight issue with the leg holder as it kept slipping during runs etc and wouldn't pick up squats even though I couldn't get any lower without being sat down! Great fun though

You can get a good workout out of it, I'm on day five now and I'm really feeling it in my core! Besides the main game you can set up your own workouts, play fitness mini games, do yoga, jog through the world map, or set it up in the background and do arm exercises while watching TV!

It gives you a really good workout. The only problem is the leg strap keeps falling down. Apart from that I’m very happy with my purchase and cheaper than the gym.

Brilliant item. I was dubious about this item and the hype but my son and I have been using it daily for 7 weeks now and nowhere near the end. Makes you really sweat! Good fun and for all levels. Money well spent. Highly recommend.
