Smokey Mountain Herbal Long Cut – Straight – 1 Can - Tobacco Free and Nicotine Free Snuff

I first tried a smokeless tobacco way back in about 1990. I never became a constant dipper. But I have dipped as much as 1 can a day when I was younger. Now, mainly because I work outside a lot, I will use maybe a 5 can roll a week. I know there are people that use a lot more, but it is still I would like to cut back on and eventually quit. I tried this Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff. I live in the Smokey Mountains. I think it is good. My taste in dip is not that set. I like, in order: Skoal original wintergreen, Copenhagen snuff and Copenhagen Wintergreen. Which is what this Smoky Mountain Herbal Wintergreen reminds me of. It doesn't have the exact taste of Skoal but it's very similar in taste and texture to Copenhagen Wintergreen. I just had one can of the Smokey Mountain. I used a small pinch of it with each dip of Skoal that I used over two days. At the end of the second day, I used just one regular pinch of the Smokey Mountain and I really can't tell a big difference between it and Copenhagen Wintergreen. One thing I will mention is I was not expecting to have a problem with letting the nicotine go. I was more worried about the addiction to having a dip in my mouth and it looks like that was/is the addiction for me. I'm going to order 5 cans of it and give it a longer try with some mixing with Skoal, then some dips of just the Smokey Mountain. I definitely think it's a worth a try especially if you like Copenhagen Wintergreen. As I listed earlier, Copenhagen Wintergreen would be me third choice but if I can get rid of the nicotine, it is well worth it. As a side mention here, I tried this product because a coworker switched to it after dipping for 40 years and he quit the nicotine ones in just a month. That's my goal too. This is a good product. If I have any tips it would be to put it in the refrigerator before using. It gets cold and that helps with the packing. I know when mine arrived it had been in a UPS truck at about 95 degrees, that makes it looser and harder to pack. I'm surprised by how good it is.

Good texture but tastes like hot vomit. Couldn’t get past a small pinch for a minute before I voided it and send the can in the trash.

I tried the peach flavor. I use timberwolf peach pouches and they don't stay as moist as Smokey Mountain peach long cut. Only reason im not giving 5 stars is because the long cut is very grainy. It has excellent taste, moister and does pack very well for a 4 finger dip if you know what I mean.I do think it is over priced. It's more like $4.85 can instead of the price you pay on here and putting it up side by side to a Timberwolf can it is a little bit smaller too. Would I purchase it again, not at this price. But if it were cheaper I would. I kept a dip in for 2 hours and it still had plenty of flavor for me.

It's pretty good. It smells very similar to Copenhagen or skoal straight. I've been a straight dipper for years. Mainly Copenhagen straight. This stuff packs like real dip and after a few minutes of sitting with a dip in, it actually feels and tastes like the real deal. I haven't had nicotine in about a month, I quit cold turkey and I sometimes get a massive urge to throw a dip in, that's why I bought this stuff. It hasn't let me down! It satisfies the urge and I'm happy. My tip to potential customers, buy this product knowing that it's not going to taste just like real dip. Yes, no matter what you say, you ARE ADDICTED TO NICOTINE. There is no magic formula to stop the cravings. It takes perseverance and patience to get over the habit. Use this as an aid. Throw a lip in and don't even think about it not being the real deal. You're going to he bitchy, you're going to be irritable and you might have some other problems, that's called withdrawal. Tough it out and you'll be thankful you did! My one suggestion to the person who makes this. The flavors are there, just make them more pronounced, try adding more moisture. More juice is better!

Flavor at times was inconsistent and lost flavor very very quickly overall great dip tobacco alternative but unless you are trying to quit dipping I could not recommend this product. Flavor however was nearly identical to a can of Copenhagen or grizzly wintergreen. The can is smaller than a normal dip can for almost twice the price. When spitting the color is very light. The leaf at times is dry as well. Overall good quitting aid but not ideal.

This product contains wheat! Luckily it lists it as the first ingredient, but I wouldn't expect wheat in an herbal product touted as safe to swallow. Granted, it probably is for most people, but wheat/gluten is a very common allergen that shouldn't be put into herbal products. Besides that, the pouches are small, dry, and packed stingily, but when they get moist, they seem to do the job well. Pretty satisfying, but the flavor is definitely menthol, not wintergreen.

I got the peach. Taste just like skoal peach. Will be buying more to help me kick the habit
