Woodworking: The Complete Step-by-Step Manual Hardcover – April 7, 2020

This book was recommended to my husband from a friend of his, and so it was one of his birthday presents and he was so excited! Can’t wait to see all of the fun projects he makes because of the book’s help.

Really good for beginner wood workers

I love the layout of this book. I am novice woodworker at best and this had everything from start to finish! It was clearly labeled and described everything in great detail. It’s a book you can read from page 1 to onward and feel like each page builds off of the last, but u can also flip to any page at any time and not be lost! This has the most information of any info source I’ve come across and highly recommend to anyone looking for a good reliable source of wood working knowledge.

I’m getting back into woodworking as a hobby so I bought several books including this one. I read it cover to cover. It helped me pick up some tools I didn’t know about that will make life easier. I wish they had more details specifically in the joint section. For a beginner I could use more explanation on how to do it and more pictures. But that’s just my opinion. Same with the projects in the book. I wish the instructions were more detailed and with more pictures. I’m happy I bought the book but for my learning style I wish it had a bit more. I have purchased other books for specific topics to supplement this book. I wish the book gave some more straight up recommendations for projects. For example it talks about several types of wood glue and how they work but there’s no summary giving you ideas of what to choose based on your experience and wood type etc. I’m sure it’s just my own inexperience. So I took off 1 star. Still feel this is a must have for beginners.

I highly recommend making this purchase.

Purchased this book for my son, as he is interested in woodworking projects but has no experience with tools, plans and what and how to get started. This is a perfect book for him.

My husband is a wood crafter. The book is wonderful.

I enjoyed this book and I think it’s great for a beginner like me.
