Well made and eco-friendly product! No plastic!
I purchased the brush specifically to clean water bottles that cannot go into the dishwasher. I like that it is eco-friendly and made from German Beechwood and hemp bristles. No plastic on this tool! It feels and looks like a well-made, quality product. The bristles are a bit stiff but I do like the extra long 14 inch handle. Make sure to read the description. I missed the part about it being for wide mouth jars, tumblers and glasses. It still works on smaller mouth water bottles but it takes a bit more effort to get the bristles through the opening. Cleaning is simple. After using the brush, I typically rise it with hot water and let it air dry before putting in away.

A Great Bottle Washer
Finally, we have found a solid heavy duty bottle washer that will last. We are so pleased to have discovered this brush. We like the length of the handle and the stiffness of the bristles. It really does the job well. Highly recommend this if you want a solid heavy duty bottle washing brush.

Great
I was hesitant to try but glad I did. I love using this for cleaning my canning jars. It’s the perfect length for getting into my quart jars without too much handle to make it awkward or uncomfortable. Bristles have enough space between them that it’s easy to clean the brush, but enough bristles to get the job done. Solid product.

Too large for narrow mouth bottles
Very well made. I like the stiff bristles. It will come in handy when cleaning tall coffee cups, water bottles, mason jars and coffee pot. Sadly it does not fit into the mouth of 1 qt or 2 qt glass milk bottles .

Works
For the cost of this brush I would have thought the company would have done a better job with the wood. Mine was rough in places and the hole is not sanded at all. I would have thought the wood, would have been coated to protect it from water. I had to sand the handle and the hole. Then I wiped the handle down with Boose for wood. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars because the bristles are perfect for cleaning Mason jars. But I will write a review with this later on when I see how long it will last. Also the string is way to flimsy to hang it. So I added a copper ring to mine.

I love this brush so much, this is my second one!
Bought this to replace the exact same one that I have used for the last two years. It held up great, but being of natural fibers, eventually developed a darker color from use and wanting to be cautious we retired that one for use on cleaning projects (my husband used it on his car rims and it did a pretty good job, lol). This brush is eco-friendly both in the materials used and the all non-plastic packaging (simple brown paper around brush head tied with natural fiber rope you can then tie through hole at end of brush to make a loop to hang it from when not in use). I couldn’t be happier with this product; the handle length is just perfect to clean all our different sized water bottles, and the bristles are the perfect firmness to clean without abrasion to dishes or pots. When this one gets funky in another two years I will buy another to replace it. I hope this company stays in business for a long time; highly recommend!

Made from fresh whole plant stalks (not desirable), instead of cleaned and processed hemp fiber
I bought this brush to clean my water bottle. I wanted a brush with natural bristle material instead of plastic, bc natural bristles scour the interior surface of the bottle more vigorously than plastic bristles can accomplish with the same amount of elbow grease. The description says the bristles are hemp, and i assumed that meant it would be the same type of hemp fibers as are used to make hemp rope. That’s not the case though. These were made with whole plant stalks (I’m assuming hemp stalks) that are pretty much straight off the plant. There’s even about 5% green plant material comprising the bristles. Normally hemp is processed to separate the desirable fibers from the rest of the plant material. The bristles in this brush however were presumably made from the whole plant stalks , not just the fibers. So when i used the brush for the first time, i had to vigorously wash the brush head for about an hour to get rid of as much of the non-fiber material as possible. The water i washed it in was left dark brown and full of spongy non-fibrous plant matter after each of the first several washings. Eventually after about 30 washings which included brushing the bristles with a fine toothed metal comb to scrape off everything that wasn’t fiber, i was able to get it so the wash water was just a light yellow color and mostly free from extraneous plant material. That cleaning process removed about 50% of the bristle material from the brush’s head, leaving the brush head a ghost of its original volume. I should have returned it, but I’m disabled and the process of returning something is often more work than just making the best of a bad product as was the case in this instance. This is the wrong brush to use for cleaning water bottles or for cleaning anything that will make contact with food or drink, bc even after the rigorous cleaning i gave it, the brush still excretes acrid compounds which foul the otherwise pure water i put in my bottle. It would work well for scrubbing boots, tools, or anything like that. I just wish the seller explained that, instead of describing it as a brush for cleaning bottles, jars, and dishes, bc it absolutely should not be used for that. To be fair, the description does state that it’s made from “fresh hemp,” but in over 40 years of using hemp products, I’ve never encountered hemp for an application like this that wasn’t cleaned of its extraneous plant matter before being sold. Live and learn.
