Takes me back
In the spare room I have my Alto Saxophone. It has been idle for quite a few years. Decided to dust off the cobwebs and try to play the instrument. Been with me since 1966. Haven't played since 1978. Look out world. I have some tunes to play.

A Fairly Good Mix of Past Standards & Some Modern Hits
I bought this book to get back into playing the Sax after a 20 year layoff. While this is a fun book, take your time and compare this book to some of the others offered by Hal Leonard. Hal Leonard has been a reliable fixture in the music industry for decades, and I want to encourage you to consider the music book with online audio concept also offered on Amazon. I think that is a great way for a new student to gain some confidence and to have some fun while learning the Sax.

Great collection for my teen
This was a tiny bit more advanced than what my teen can play so far on the saxophone...started only 1/2 a year ago, but it's just right to push them without being way too difficult. The notes are clearly written and very easy to read. The table of contents lists where each song is, so it's not a problem to find them. The book fits well on the music stand, too.

Narrow cross section
Not as many great tunes as I had hoped for but there are still one or two worth learning
