Perfect size, awesome notebook. Great for moderately heavy use.
I got these, the small Rhodia notebooks, and the Field Notes notebooks to evaluate for daily use. So this review is kind of a comparison also. I'm a senior controls engineer and keeping things in my large notebook has become difficult with all of the moving about that I do. Carrying a small notebook in my backpocket has been the best option I've found so far. I was a long time lover of Moleskine (for personal use), but mixed it up with this assortment of purchases. 1) Field Notes - when I got all three notebooks, this was my favorite at first. The paper is possibly the highest grade (shocking, right?) but the giant "FIELD NOTES" printed on the front wore on me over time. Now I use these for carrying during a hike. I record a few key things just for fun and tracking. I can't recommend these highly enough for outdoor use. They're super rugged, the paper is ultra-high-quality, and they size is perfect. Workers perfectly with my Sharpie Pen with no bleeding or show-through. 2) Moleskine Journals - This is what I ultiamtely ended up carrying for work. Paper is second only to the Field Notes notebook and even there it's close. The pages are perforated and the notebook has a tiny folder in the back for holding loose pages. This makes carrying it all the nicer. I don't have to keep a grand organizational scheme; I write and then sort it out later. Sharpie Pen doesn't bleed or show-through. Cover is unmarked (apart from a small bit of embassed text on the back). The cover is pretty durable, but not nearly as rugged as the Field Notes' cover. 3) Rhodia Pocket Notebook - I wanted to like these but the size is slightly too small. The cover is plain paper. And, althoguh some disagree, the paper quality was the worst. I had slight show-through from my Sharpie Pen but not bleeding. I don't have much else to say about this one since I've used it so little.

Excellent, highly useful, good to use
Having spent a lifetime in technical fields, I’ve used Moleskine gridded notebooks for many years. The gridlines are excellent for quick tables to organize data and for impromptu flowcharts and diagrams; I’ve used them as lab notebooks, design books, meeting minutes, and heaven knows what else. The grid also helps me keep my sloppy, erratic penmanship under some sort of control! The paper is smooth and light but still feels substantial and is pleasing to write on, and takes everything from ballpoint pens to fountain pens well. I generally favor the pocket size softcover books with the brown Kraft covers. Lately those have been in short supply so I have reluctantly ordered them in black.

High-quality, convenient notebook at a reasonable price
Pros: - Nice, pocketable size -- same size and thickness as a passport. - Durable construction; they can hold up to alternately being stuffed in the pocket of a laptop bag and in the back pocket of a pair of jeans. - Square ruling style is great for note-taking or diagramming. - Haven't had any issues with ink bleed from the ballpoints I use. - The three-packs are great. I keep one in my laptop bag for work notes, another in my camera bag for photography ideas and notes, and another in my car for any time I am without the others and want to jot down ideas or notes. Cons: - None for the product; although it can take patience to find the right combination of size, paper ruling style, and color when ordering. Bottom Line: Highly recommended -- I'll be getting more.

Best consumer journal
These books have been my favorites out of all the pocket journals I tried over the years. The stiched binding keeps the pages and cover bound even through daily trips in my back pocket (note: I have a leather cover, but other brands did not survive in the same conditions). The paper quality is good, nothing to complain about, its not flimsy which is nice, also the second half of the book has perforations so you can tear out pages if you need, but they dont fall out through use. I have atleast 6 of these that I've already filled up with daily notes and drawings from the past few years and hopefully i'll keep buying more in the future.

great "doodle" note books, I wish they had more pages.
Who doesn't love the Moleskine products? I think everyone does. They are very sturdy and eco-friendly! They have a cloth-like cover, acid-free paper, they're made from renewable resources, and FSC certified. These pocket sized "square block" pages are super for drawing, note-taking, doodling, etc. This set I bought comes with 3 notebooks. What I didn't realize is they are VERY thin-not a lot of pages at all! Specifically, 64 pages per notebook. The last 16 pages are perforated for "clean" removal of the page. There is a slide pocket inside the back cover of each book. The dimensions are perfect for pockets, a small purse, your tablet holder, or a large wallet. Similar size to a passport, they are 3.5"x5.5". I would recommend to everyone!

Soft and crafty
I'm an spanish speaker so sorry for my "bad" english. When I received my cahiers I noticed they were too thin, but when I opened them I was surprised about the very well hand maded notebooks. Nice, sweet, elegant and minimalist just what I like on a product. I read the Moleskine story and I felt proud of my bought, they're expensive compared to other notebooks, but you are buying HISTORY and HAND MADE product. They are very sturdy and very well made. Now the fire test! Wait, don't think I burned my cahiers, no. The fire test is the writing test. I chosed a nice pencil to write and... voila, it was SO soft and gentle and pleasent to write on its pages that I'm happier now for my purchase. If you have extra dollars to spend do it now, cause you wont regret. But only if you like nice, hand maded, minimalist notebooks.

Just, WOW!!!!!!
So, yes, I do realize that I ordered 2, 3 packs of MOLESKIN Cashiers Collection Squared Journals (64 squared pages, last 16 sheets detachable) with the inner pocket.... AND I AM ABSOLUTELY FLOORED! I am an admitted a geek, mostly of paper. It has to be the Right paper and Amazon had run out of mine at Exactly the Wrong time. I had purchased a beautiful Pocket Notebook Cover on Amazon that held approximately 4 5.5x3.5 notebooks at a time, this Leather Notebook Cover was an absolute dream. I found these MOLESKIN Cashiers Collection Squared Journals on PREFERRED PHARMACY PLUS. I ordered on September 26, 2023, They ARRIVED 2 (TWO)!!! DAYS later!!! They fit SO perfectly in my Leather Notebook Cover. I WILL Order from again and again! Thank You So Much!!!
