Germany Newood Calligraphy Set In Bamboo Box - Nibs .8mm, 1.8mm, Ink Bottle with Brown Ink, Converter

So I may be premature in writing this since I have only had the piece for a half hour or so.First of all the disappointment... Mine came with a bottle of black ink instead of brown. despite an exhaustive search, I have been unable to to find this product that is supplied with black ink, which makes one wonder if the manufacturer said "we're out of brown, throw this in, they'll never notice..."So I was off to a bad start. After that and getting inked up (I supplied my own last brown ink cartridge, I was holding off on buying a bottle of brown *since this was supposed to come with one*) and writing for a bit three things became apparent.The first was the weight. It has a very light feel to it and one can imagine that it will not cause cramping as quickly as some other instruments.The second is the size. Despite its weight, this is the largest pen I have, just eeking out my jinhao 159 (which is a Chinese pen "modeled" after the Mont Blanc Meisterstuck 149) in length. It is a very striking pen, and certainly demands attention as it rests in my case.Thirdly is the shape. It isn't circular as much as it is a rounded triangular shape, which is difficult to see in the provided pictures. This is nice and first, until you realize it forces you to hold it in a very specific way, and for me when I was writing, it lead to the pen skipping until I corrected my grip slightly to what *the pen* wanted, instead of what *I* wanted.all in all, I think I am going to continue to like this. It is once again a striking piece, and I am torn between the 3 and four stars for this, but considering the price, if the shape causes you to hold it in a way that makes it skip, that is something that I would want to know about upfront. So it is a recommend, just not a super STRONG recommend.And hey, maybe yours will come with brown ink.

The delivery was prompt and the pen itself is beautiful. I writes wonderfully, ink flow is smooth. So happy about the ink converter so that if you have your own bottles of ink you can change it from brown to bright red or purple! Love this poduct very much.

I am a calligrapher for over 50 years. I don't waste money an just any calligraphy materials. I did some research on this pen set (style, pricing, nibs, ink) and decided to order it.I now wear it in my pocket daily (almost).It is a great writing instrument, smooth and comfortable in the hand and beautiful to look at. The ink that comes with the set is a nice brown sepia, but I use my ownhomemade walnut ink. Ink is easy to load into the piston barrel.It is a beauty and quite a convesation piece!

You might say that this is a good beginner's pen, for around a hundred dollars you get a pen and three nibs but if you look for carefully, like in ebay for example you can find fountain pens of a lot higher quality for about the same price. True, you would only get one-nib pen for that price but you can get a pen with a gold nib instead that the still nibs that you get with this pen and a gold nib is what makes, in my opinion, so much fun and such a different experience to write with a fountain pen. It might take you a while to find a pen with an italic gold nib for less than say a hundred and fifty but the difference makes it worth it.Still for a beginner this pen is not a complete waste of money but you are going to out grow this pen very fast or at least when you try a gold nib and see what a smooth wonderful experience a gold nib provides.I think a Pilot Custom 74 14k nib, which at the time of writing this can be found for a hundred dollars approximately in ebay, makes far better buy and you'll never outgrow this pen.Happy hunting!

Lovely smooth pen to write withVery happyDF

Je cherchais un stylo plume de calligraphie afin de retrouver le plaisir des pleins et des déliés de mon enfance... les plus de cinquante ans (et oui, comme le temps passe) se souviennnent sans doute des encriers, des plumes sergent major, des pâtés mais aussi de la belle écriture. Je voulais donc un stylo plume calligraphique qui me permette une écriture rapide et je pense avoir trouvé une petite pépite. Je possède déjà un Sheaffer (toujours en version calligraphique) et un Lamy joy qui me donnent satisfaction. Le gros avantage de ce Online, c'est qu'il'est largement aussi joli qu'un stylo classique de bonne facture tandis que le Sheaffer pêche vraiment par son manque d'esthétisme, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour le Lamy: stylé et moderne. Juste un petit conseil; si vous testez un stylo quel qu'il soit et que ses performances vous déçoivent; pensez à tester ce dernier avec une autre encre. En l'occurence, j'ai essayé ce on line initialement avec une encre pourtant de bonne qualité et il fonctionnait assez mal, puis, j'ai eu l'idée de le tester avec une encre Diamine et le résultat fût tout à fait différent. Je crois que je vais commander l'autre modèle en noir. En conclusion, ce modèle peut être utilisé au quotidien comme un stylo classique mais avec un rendu d'écriture à effet calligraphique...un vrai bonheur.😀

Scrivere è diventato ormai sempre più un qualcosa che facciamo meno spesso. Avere una bella calligrafia, è diventata una cosa sempre più rara, e il piacere di scrivere lo si può ritrovare con una penna come questa. I pennini lasciano ampio spazio per il tipo di scrittura, e l'inchiostro di colore marrone è di buona qualità. Anche se il cofanetto all'interno non ha un alloggiamento per un utilizzo frequente dei pennini, chiuso fa un po di effetto. Io, dato il prezzo, lo consiglio a tutti coloro che non hanno grandi pretese, o a coloro che si avvicinano al mondo della scrittura a mano che si faceva tempo fa. Se lo acquistate, regalatevi qualche minuto di buona musica mentre vi prendete il giusto tempo da dedicare a voi stessi...

Non posso che dare 5 stelle anche per il solo fatto di averla pagata poco più di 9 euro, decisamente sotto costo.La penna è molto carina, sono un profano e la mia calligrafia è abbastanza banale, ma con questa penna diventa comunque piacevole. Si possono usare le cartucce standard, o il convertitore "in dotazione" col quale possiamo sfruttare la boccetta "in dotazione" di un colore marrone chiaro molto carino.Una critica che posso fare, ma che ho visto è una cosa comune in tutti i "set per calligrafia" è che purtroppo il tappo è solo uno, quindi se come me avete la curiosità di provare tutti e tre i pennini, alla fine rimante con 2 pennini scoperti, con la cartuccia innestata, che se lasciati nella scatola originare (molto traspirante) ovviamente si asciugano.
