How does the timer connect to the water butt?

You need to use a piece of hose and connectors.Mine is connected to the outside tap.Hope this helps

can this timer water everyday for 2 weeks or require resetting after 7 days ?

Hi No problem with the time span just make shure you have new batteries in it . Mine waters twice a day for just over 6 months with out issues. I would set your system up and run it first if possible for over 2weeks then you would know there are no problems
