It's my favorite digital scale.

I wanted to learn how to make bread and a friend of mine who makes various breads several times a week, said that a food scale would improve my results if I measured out the flour by weight rather than volume. She recommended this particular one based on her experiences and I trust her judgement. It is simple to use and easy to read, and I love that you can start the scale with a container sitting on top of it so when you place things into the container, you know how much of an ingredient you put in there. Ever wonder if that open package of cheese has enough for the recipe you are making or if you need to get more? You'll have your answer in just a second or two. If you want to know if the letter you are sending out with a few photographs needs extra postage or not, that's perfectly easy too! When I got it, I didn't know how many things I'd be weighing but with a capacity of up to 11 pounds, you can weigh all sorts of things! And because the unit is neither very wide nor tall (7" wide by 8 1/2" long and about 2" tall), it fits into a small drawer in the kitchen and is readily accessible. It's a very handy device and I'm glad I have it! No--I'm still not very good at making bread but surely better than previously!
