Edited 3/16/2017: I managed to get the blade off the masker. Because of this I've decided to keep the contraption. I've given it just 4 stars because the instructions say to remove the blade a certain way (which doesn't work). If you push the blade off from the bottom (instead of the top - which is what the instructions say), it comes off quite easily. Cuts great but you (at keast I) cant get the blasted thing off the masker. Come on 3M - think again. I am going to send the blade back WITH rhe nasker because I guess it is now permanent and I cant adjust the size or use the film blade. So. Frustrated.

Fit my tape machine just as it should

Works as described. I don't know why home imporvement store don't sell these. This blade is so much more user friendly than the sharp toothed "film" blade sold in the big box stores. Works great for paper! (not so much for plastic, but that's not why I bought it).

Not sharp enough but it fit perfectly

It's a masker blade. Cuts clean and straight. What more could you ask from it? Excellent.

Excellent piece of equipment, doesn’t come with the blade ( it said that, I just didn’t listen) so ended up ordering the blade once it showed up. Price for this and ordering the blade separate was considerably less expensive than the complete unit, plus I was able to select the size of blade I needed; 9” not the 12”. Very satisfied with this unit.

Paired with the M3000, it is an incredible tool that can combat my wife’s forever changing mind….no matter the paint project this tool is sure to speed up your job. I was actually shocked how much time it saved me. If your are buying paper with it. Pro tip 9” paper 1” tape seems to be the best all around paper tape combo.

No issues, snaps in to tool with a stiff click and just works. Paper and masking tape tear without issue and ease. Using this with the 12" paper roll and 1.5" masking tape I find it is a little short, but still does the job.
