KATIVA Brazilian Straightening Kit

This has to be hands down the BEST HAIR STRAIGHTENER ever! I have lost count how many times I have purchased this product. It must be over 10 times! As some one who has struggled with having coarse wavy curly hair and dreamt of having straight hair without using a heated hair straightener, this product has been a god send!! Apply it straight from the tub, leave it on for 20minutes, blow dry and then use a heated hair straightener, then wash and blow dry again and your done. This leaves your hair straight for 3 months, this is from guys perspective. And the best thing is there is enough in the tub for another couple of applications!!

Easy to use, smell wasn’t bad I used a fan while ironing my hair so I didn’t notice any smell. My hair is softer and easier to manage now. It’s a fraction of the price I would have paid to get it done in the salon so I am very happy about this product! Deserves a 5 star.My hair is colored and I did notice a slight change is color but not an issue for me.

This Brazilian straightening kit was just the thing I needed when i bought it. I have fine, dense wavy hair, that no matter what products are being used get bouncy, frizzy by the touch of the slightest amount of humidity, even minutes after leaving the salon.I wanted to see if anything would be able to tame my waves. This product had done the trick, I was relieved I did not have to blow dry my hair every day, and humidity did not became an issue. However, when I used the product my hair was short, French Bob, so my idea was that it will make the growing out process a bit more bearable and easier, due to less damage caused by constant styling, and as the box says the product will gradually break down.I used the contents of the box for two applications 3 months apart. After about 6 months I got bored with the flat, straight 'Plain Jane' look, I wanted my 'self-styling' locks back.I stopped using Kativa or any straightening product, switched to normal and frequent shampooing, and I was expecting the product to 'wash out' of my hair.The product did not wash out, the upper layers of my hair remained straight, while the lower layers of my hair were growing naturally wavy, with the adage of the roots also growing out in waves, which created a layer of partially wavy hair with a 4-5 inch section of straight lifeless hair hanging on top of the stronger waves underneath and in between, resulting in a style that should not be touched by humidity at all.In my case, the only way to break down the product is to turn to shears and trim frequently and regularly.

Be very careful it strips your hair colour out, I was red and ended up ginger, had to re dye it

We use this every 6 months and it works well it takes a while to do but is worth it

I have wavy, frizzy coloured hair, just under my shoulder blades. Having tried other kits in the past I decided to try this one out as it can be washed off after applying the treatment without having to wait days with it. Unfortunately after washing it has be shaped with heat (unlike others brands) otherwise it’s still frizzy. I blow dry it and then use a heated brush and takes a few brushes to make the hair shine, but still is not what I was looking for.It also does change the colour if bleached, but nothing that a blue shampoo can’t get back to.The shampoo and conditioner that comes in the box are not nice and tangled my hair, I used them once and then binned them.

I was sceptical, but I am so glad I gave this product a try. I am (and was) extremely happy with the results. I thought there would be 100 steps and a very difficult application process, but I was able to complete the whole process successfully, so anyone can!You will need a well-ventilated space for the hot press.Brazillian Products for all hair types is an untapped area in the UK - they are very high quality and work very wellI will be purchasing it again
