Great Next Stage Product for Transitioning from Swaddle to Sleep Sack
This sleep sack is a great weight (1 ply cotton muslin). Very lightweight so you can still dress your baby in pajamas or onesie without baby getting too hot in warmer temps. The zipper is very functional and zips from top to bottom without velcro. Easy care washing makes it softer with every wash. Color is a bit brighter than photo but so cute! It is somewhat larger in size (I ordered medium) than I expected for my 5 month old (approx 20 lb), but I like that it has extra foot room at the bottom for her to grow. This supplier was quick with shipment and item was described properly. Highly recommend! Tips: 1) Swaddle as long as baby tolerates. You will know when your baby is ready for sleep sack. We actually swaddled (arms in) til 4 months, then used velcro Halo sleepsack at 4 months, then purchased this sleep sack 2) training your baby to go from swaddle to sleep sack prevents them from climbing out of crib when they get older.

Every newborn needs this sleep sack!
Lightweight and perfect for a summer baby. the quality and softness of muslin cotton is worth the cost. As a parent of a newborn I was concerned about SIDS; my baby getting over heated during the night, rolling over and getting tangled in her blanket and worst of all getting a blanket wrapped over her face. This item gives me 100% confidence and ability to sleep through the night knowing that she is in a safe, breathable, soft and light weight blanket that she is zipped into keeping her safely in place and no worries of the sleep sack covering her face. Is absolutely a must have with a new born! Runs Large I also had zipper issues, but A+A gladly swapped out for a new one!

a great transition piece...
Our little one loved to be swaddled. Over time, obviously, the swaddle sacks started getting a little tight. He also loves having a blanket, so instead of risking it, we tried one of these muslin bags, and it worked perfectly. He still feels snuggly and comfortable, there's just enough extra material to feel blanket-y, and muslin regulates temperature so well. He loves his "monkey bag" and wears it every night and naptime. This bag is soft, washes well and gets softer with each washing, and keeps him just the right temperature whether warm or cold. It's also lightweight and fits well... no fear of overheating or covering his face. The material and zipper has held up well after many, many uses. Although after six months of constant use, it is starting to show some wear. I'm glad they come in multiple sizes. Would definitely recommend.

Great fabric, bad zip
I read the other reviews on here about the broken zips but ordered anyway. I love the soft, stretchy muslin and the print of these sleeping bags and we have used them for every sleep and nap all summer long. Our zips have not broken as such (we have 2 sleeping bags) but when the little man has been fighting us sometimes they have popped open up the top. I think it's a sign that the zips are not poor quality that they were able to be zipped up afterwards normally again and they are still very useable. The real problem with the zip is getting the dang thing zipped up with a wriggling bubba is nearly impossible! You have to match the two pieces up the top in an awkward place across his chest so it is so hard to keep him still and engage each piece. It's good that the zip opens at the bottom to make changes easy, but really a 2 way zip would be so much more practical and would make these sleeping bags an excellent, 5 star product.

Perfect Light Sleep Sack for Warm Nights
I am such a fan of Aden +Anais swaddle wraps. We use them all the time for our baby in her stroller on warm days, while playing, etc. Our seven month old girl has been sleeping in a sleep sac (a different brand) since she was four months. When the weather started getting a bit warmer we would find that she would wake up pretty sweaty. We thought since it was starting to get warm, she might need a thinner sleep sack. I was so excited to find that Aden + Anais made sleep sacks! It's perfect for allowing airflow for her while she sleeps while still providing a bit of comfort and warmth. I expect these will become great for her as we progress into summer months. the sack is comfortable and offers her a bit of security, but it is roomy enough that she's able to roll herself over and over throughout the night, as well as sit up in it. She's been happy in it and doesn't get tangled like she would in her warmer sacks of other brands. She's seven months old, and this fits her quite well. She still has plenty of room to grow until we have to move up to a large size. By then she may not need a full sack, so I'm glad this will work for a while!

Easily Broken zipper- Can not recommend
Can not recommend this product as it has a faulty zipper. If your baby isn't mobile this shouldn't be a problem; however, as your baby learns to crawl or even stand in the crib the faults are readily apparent. The material is a stretchy muslin which has all the benefits of being light and breathable. However, paired with a cheap zipper, repeated movement (which will happen often if your baby is mobile) will cause the zipper to either fall off the track or worse, fall off and become a choking hazard. Sadly I cannot recommend this product as both of our purchases had broken zippers after 1-2 months of use for our now 9 month old. If the zipper is broken, the product itself is not functional.

Best sleep sack for summer!
I absolutely love the aden + anais swaddle blankets because of the cute designs and how soft they are, so I was estatic to find this sleep sack, especially since my baby had grown out of swaddling (4 months old). The monkey design with the star on the belly is too cute, and the sleep sack is nice and thin for California summers. It just provides a thin layering of blanket to keep my baby boy from getting chilled when he sleeps. Note: I've been using this sack for 2 months now, and I haven't had any problems with it. The zipper and seams are holding up perfectly, and this is impressive since my baby is rolling all around the crib and chewing on his feet through the sleep sack.
