This is the injector needed for Leaksaver. Need the injector! Had a small leak in my Whirlpool refrigerator. Bought a line tap (on Amazon) and filled the frig with freon, which didn't last. Realized I had a leak and purchased LeakSaver. Followed the instructions and it worked great. One year later and frig is still cold. I tried with the first cartridge - screw it onto the cap tightly, screw base on. I pulled the trigger at this point a little to make sure something would come out. It seemed to shoot out of the TOP of the injector. I thought that was maybe because the sealant tube was not hooked up yet. I then connected the sealant tube. Then attached the other end of the sealant tube to the low side service port. I pulled the trigger and nothing happened. I looked at the instruction papers and it said maybe it was not tight enough. I tightened as much as I could and still nothing. I disconnected from the service port and removed the sealant tube. When I removed the sealant tube, all the CO2 sprayed out of the top. I did NOT remove the CO2.I figured I would try the 2nd CO2 tube. This time, as soon as I screwed the cartridge onto the cap, all the CO2 came out around where the CO2 tube screws into the injector. I did this with the trigger lock on, so I would not accidently pull the trigger while tightening.So now I have no CO2, and I think I have a defective injector. And while doing all this and screwing/unscrewing the sealant tube, quite a bit came out on my hands, so there is less than a full shot of sealant left.All reviews on this product since July 15th seems to say the same thing.

I was surprised to see that you are required to screw the CO2 cartridge straight into the valve with your bare hands. Usually these types of cylinders use a screw/saddle arrangement or a case that surrounds it...for leverage and to protect your hand as it pushes the cylinder into the piercing needle/valve port simultaneously...like CO2 pellet launchers or NO2 whip cream canisters. I thought that's what the black cartridge holder would do with this...but that's not the case.I tried the first one and thought I had it up against the piercing valve and gave it a quick twist. It must not have been close enough because it just blew back on my hand and I dropped it before it froze my fingers. My neighbor was watching as he was curious about the Leak Saver I purchased this to install, and he offered to loan me a can of refrigerant to use instead, so I never tried the 2nd cartridge.The Leak Saver seems to be working well and I even bought a second one for my other car...and if you have a can of refrigerant to use instead I would suggest that. If you have only this...WEAR GLOVES!! As this is not returnable (read the fine print !!)...I hope the 2nd cartridge will work because I have other systems that I'd like to use Leak Saver on (and even use it as a drain line clearance tool)...but living in a state where I have no access to refrigerant unless I travel out of state to purchase it.I also discovered there's a Pro version with a metal body for only a few bucks more that isn't sold on here. Something I wish I knew earlier as I was worried about twisting the cartridge in too far and stripping it or breaking the plastic body (I have this type of thing happen pretty often when using my bear paws on small items like this)...so I probably didn't give it the full oomph it needed to pierce and seat itself.If you have a can of refrigerant...use that. Otherwise search for the Pro version. Or...wear gloves and hope it doesn't break.EDIT 9/23/24: The company reached out to me and offered a refund on my entire purchase. The Leak Saver itself seems to be working it's magic and I'm more than happy with it...and could not in good conscience accept such a gracious offer. I instead accepted a refund for the Leak Shot only and will be going to their website to purchase the Leak Shot Pro (all metal body) and some more Leak Saver. I did raise my rating to reflect the commitment the folks at LeakSaver have to their customers and the products they offer. Buy with confidence.

Purchase the leak saver and leak shot with adapter. Followed the instructions and tried both CO2 canisters. Would not inject the product into my system. I contacted the company and they immediately replaced the leak shot and canisters. They also offered me a full refund. Not sure if it solved my problem yet, but would recommend them based on their response to my issues alone.

This is a super easy way to inject sealant, or dyes into your ac system. Definitely worth the money. I had a leak in my car's ac system and tried to fix it with the off the shelf refrigerant with stop leak in it from the auto parts store, but that didn't work. With this tool, I was able to inject a better quality sealant into my cars system and the ac is working great now. This little tool saved me hundreds of dollars from having to put my car in the shop to get the ac fixed; I am a very satisfied customer and would definitely recommend this to anyone working on ac systems.

I was able to shoot the sealer in my AC but the co2 cartridge leaked, it states the injector is good for a half dozen shots, I got one shot and had to do it fast before all the co2 leaked out. Pretty expensive for a one time use but I got the sealer in, time will tell if it works.

The initial item leaked after the first shot. Thankfully it was able to inject all the leak seal compound.I contacted the company, and not only did they refund the purchase fee, they sent a replacement immediately.
