Taste of Home 5 Ingredient Cookbook: 400+ Recipes Big on Flavor, Short on Groceries!

We got tired of making the same thing each week- tacos one night, pizza one night, some kind of pasta and red sauce another night. But with two small kids, we didn’t want anything too complicated. This book gives suggestions for both quick and easy meals, as well as meals that take more time to prepare. All while using 5 ingredients (not including some spices or salt and pepper). Worth the price!

The recipes are actually 5 ingredients or less (I don’t consider salt and pepper ingredients). Some of them are basics, things we already make, but many of them are new ideas to mix up the weekday meals. I hate spending a ton of time prepping food after working all day, so I love that I have new ideas to get homemade meals on the table.

Love Taste of Home cookbooks! I bought this for my son who just bought his first house. I wanted it to be easy to use with few ingredients. This book covers that. Nice photos, easy to read instructions and good recipes. I do recommend this to others who don't want long, complicated recipes.

This book is full of appealing recipes. Normally I buy a book, look through 1000 pages and only find a couple of things that I would want to make. I have already made tons of these recipes, and have only disliked one so far. Most of the recipes are easy to make and only require a few ingredients.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She is 19 and will be moving into her first apartment next year. She wanted an easy to use cookbook and so after some research I found this one. I ordered it to be delivered by Christmas but gave it to her shortly after. Her response after looking through it was this is my favorite Christmas present! Kind of amusing giving all of her other gifts but she looks through it and felt this was a cookbook that she could use. I'm excited to try a couple of recipes with her before she goes back to college and help her prepare for living on her own and her apartment next year

This was a perfect gift for my son and his girlfriend. Simple but good tasting meals. They love it.

Lots of great food ideas in here. However, some of the instructions are a bit vague and there are several recipes with more than five ingredients. So far, two of the five recipes have flopped, one being the fudge (they said to microwave instead of boil which caused the fudge to come out more like pudding) and the raspberry chicken (the sauce hardened like candy only seconds after being cooled). I am by no stretch of the imagination a cook, however I can follow instructions very well. I fault my lack of knowledge via food partly and the cookbook instructions a little more heavily. Better if you have a strong base of culinary knowledge before getting this.

I must have dozens of cook books but this series is the very best. Easy layout, good instructions and each recipe is pictured. The ones I've tried all work so far I am a fan!!!!!!

Haven't made anything yet from this book, but it looks amazing...looking forward to making some delicious recipes...

a great gift

I had purchase a few years back another edition of Taste of Home which I adored, so I was slightly disapointed with this one. In the end, it will be collecting dust on my shelf
