I was a bit skeptical of the Automaxx reviews and price. So after using a 6inch bar clamp for a bit, I found and bought this 2 pack. Its so much easier to have the correct tool for the job, these are 3 times as fast to set up compared to my bar clamp. The wide, flat clamping pad fits perfectly into my KREG pocket hole jig. Pros: Fits my KREG jig seems strong and durable. Clamps tightly and adjusts easily with the screw adjuster Cons: The top rubber grip handle does slip off, as other reviewers mention. I do find it annoying but not deal breaking.

Clamps with good pressure (as much or as little as you wish) and the size (opening / open area / depth) gives you a lot of room to position as needed. The round clamp faces distribute the pressure well and prevent marring. I needed a good, all around clamp (not used for cabinet making in my case) and this was the most suitable design to be useful for both my immediate need and anything I might need it for in the future.

This product works great and is a good price. The only issue I had was that the rubber grip ends (green in photo), fall off too easily. The glue didn't hold. These grip ends are not on every clamp of this type, it was the designers goals to add a little more safety to the product, that the other brands don't have, they just need to use a better glue. I re-glued and so far so good

Very much enjoy these face clamps. They appear to be of good, solid construction. The clamp pads have just enough swivel to them to ensure a good, tight fit, even on irregularly-shaped pieces. Screw adjustment is nice, with a good turn-to-tightness ratio. This purchase and experience with Valiant definitely puts this company at the top of my list for future purchases!

Functions well, but one of the handles came off right away.

I was looking for something quick and inexpensive as I rarely need clamps like these. Once they arrived I was impressed with the heft and quality. I used them to repair a table and the worked great. I was so impressed after the first use that I ordered a second pair. I have kinds of plans for them now. These are made in China, but the Vise-Grip brand (which previously was the only ones I would buy) have also moved to China. At least that's what is marked on the last Vise-grips I bought. My only complaints with these clamps are: The rubber handles won't stay on and the screw for the tension adjusterfeels very rough. I think a tap and die will impove the threads

UPDATE - seller addressed and quickly resolved the shipping issue with the missing pads. Great customer service. These may be very good and sturdy, however I specifically picked these clamps for the clamp pads that were for some reason not included. Unless the seller makes good and provides the pads these will be returned. **If I am provided with the pads I will update my review and possibly be happy with this product**

I purchased these clamps because they were far less expensive than the "blue brand" auto-adjust option, but still had nice wide faces for surface contact. The screw works fine, though it does lose a tiny bit of credit for the manual adjustment. Most of the point lost on "Easy to use" though is because of the green handle sleeve. I initially worried from the picture that these clamps lacked the lever-action release mechanism, so they'd have to be forced open, but was pleasantly surprised that it's actually hidden under the bulb-shaped sleeve. However, that sleeve is extremely loose and seems to come off every time I squeeze it. I'd like to keep it on there as a finger-saver, but may ultimately just discard for the annoyance. I can't speak to durability, having only received them a couple of days ago, with no time yet to really test, but so far they seem ok. The metal doesn't feel "premium", nor does it feel cheap and disposable. So far, they seem like a great budget alternative to the fancier automatic face clamps, and I look forward to getting some use out of them. Update: I found I was able to clamp 3.75” with them, two 2x4s and one 1x4. This comes in handy for some cutting I’m doing.
