Boye 3396300EGIK 4-in-1 Crochet Hook Tool, Purple

I purchased both sets to get a full compliment of hooks. It takes a little getting used to at first; however, I really like the larger handle because it is easier on the hand when working long periods. No more looking for hooks that get misplaced.

I bought this for my Mom for Christmas. She is primarily a knitter but this little gizmo is so compact that it goes into the pocket in her knitting bag. It works great for quick repairs or pulling up stitches or for whatever else you might need a hook. Since it folds up and is compact you don't have to worry about a regular hook sliding around and getting tangled up in the yarn. Love it!

The idea is great, execution needs a little more work. The hook doesn't lock in, and if I'm not careful or paying attention it will fall down. All in all I would buy it again.

I highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who likes to crochet on their travels.This is a light weight but sturdy set of crochet hooks that easily fold in and out to use!I couldn't be happier with this purchase and bought several for Christmas gifts!

Convenient for travel but feels flimsy and has a rough, blocky shape that's uncomfortable in the hand. The hooks don't lock open, so they have a tendency to close at inconvenient moments. The company was savvy enough to separate the commonly used sizes over 2 separate tools, so you have to buy both if you want the common sizes. I wasn't willing to risk wasting money on both of them. I'll keep the one I bought and stick it in my backpack for emergencies (Hey... it would let me turn thin string into sturdy I-cord in the case of a zombie apocalypse!) but I'm not going to buy the other one.

This travels so nicely! I wish they would do them in series. These are most commonly used aluminum hooks. It is also easy to use for my arthritic hands.

I love the concept, the many sizes in each and ease of travel that these offered. The downside is they easily fold up while using. I see it as ineffective, to tape or otherwise hold it in place, rather than it "lock" into place, and a small button release when done, a product made to be small and portable. I am disappointed in a Boye product being of such poor quality in design flaw.
