Came with 1/4-nptm fittings instead of 3/8-nptm as advertised. Had already purchased fittings for it. Other than that it will take quite a while to evaluate it beyond saying that it appears fine so far. Small outboard motors live or die by the quality of the filter/water separator installed in their fuel line.

First off let me say I am an engineer so I would like to think I know what I'm talking about. I have never had an item before give me so much trouble, especially being a fuel/water separator. The first issue was the water drain port broke. I tried to fix it but the rubber on the inside was floating around the clear plastic bowl. This caused a serious fuel leak while driving the boat which could have easily caused a fire. I went ahead and fixed this issue by completely eliminating the threaded valve. The second issue was the plastic bowl came completely off while running, not once but twice! I was WOT and all of a sudden the engine shut off. I immediately went to the piece of junk filter because I had a feeling. Sure enough! The bowl sitting on the bottom. I went ahead and solved this problem by putting a better o-ring. The third issue is the so called clear bowl becomes completely white due to how cheap the plastic is and it not being fuel tolerant. The final straw for me was when it started making my engine just die out while idling. As soon as I bypass the filter, it would work great. Before anyone says it could be water, it was absolutely not. All fresh gas in the filter and bowl. So I decided to come and return it and guess what, a day late and $40 short in being able to return it. I guess it's my fault for trying to make something work and not returning it from day one. Now I have to go and buy a real (aka Racor) filter/water separator. Honestly, I am glad I purchased this fuel filter, now there is one less POS out on the market for someone else to purchase.

Best deal out there for a unit that can flow a pair of 350 Chevys. Really liked the quality and design. Nice having the input'outputs on both sides. Made configuration super easy. Most of the similar units were twice the price.

I would of given this product 5-stars but when I received it, The filter and water bowl were both screwed on so tight I damaged both the filter and bowl trying to unscrew them. Note to the seller:add some oil to the seals before shipping.

This filter is of equal quality or better than other filters, but for about 1/2 the price. It comes with the fittings etc - and is really a no brainier. I would highly recommend.

It is a BIG mistaken for me to oder this product, it is event bigger mistaken for me to install these POS into my boat, end up 6 of my brothers and myself Sitting in the middle of nowhere offshore 65mile out from shore waiting for BOAT US Come to pick us up in the 6feet swell on every 12seconds. Took 14H total to get back to the dock from the time towboat dispatched over the radio.I have twin yamaha 250HP, before installed these POS nothing happened, after 35 mile out from shore engine throttle struggling on both side every 5-10 minute, after another ~25 mile continue heading out which ~60 mile from the shore 1 engine give up which i found out the bottom end popped out and cracked on clear case housing, cant reinstall, so we head back, at this point we running 1 engine which more torque applied into 1 engine having issue struggling ealier, End up with this engine give up too, latter on back home i found out these locknut thread doesnt do the job even i used marine tape not using original cheap tape.Reinstalled original housing and original fuel water separator no more issue. What have you make and what have you done to us????????Warned to boater: stay off this product or end up same like us, i dont think i am the only one here having this issue, roll down for previous review.
