Noico Black 80 mil 10 sqft Car Sound Deadening Mat, Butyl Automotive Sound Deadener, Audio Noise Insulation and Dampening

I've used Noico 80 mil sheets in the past. I applied it to my doors about 5 years ago and it's still holding strong. These black sheets were newer, I liked the look of them over the silver and they're a bit more low key if you have them exposed anywhere.There's a lot of different brands for butyl sound deadening mats like this. There's not much too them, no magic with expensive brand names. Find out the square footage you need and thickness you want and you're good.For size reference, I used the 10sqt pack of this to about 2/3 of the trunk of a 2020 MX-5 and still had about 3 square feet left over. Smaller car, but this size was perfect for what I needed it for.Don't apply it on a cold day as they won't stick as well. Roller recommended for pushing it down. Heatgun if necessary, getting the panels/butyl warm will make them adhere like crazy. Gloves recommended as the adhesive is quite strong when warm and you want to avoid any of the sharp foil edges, they can give a nasty paper cut if you aren't careful.

I purchased this item to maybe cutdown on the rattling of my trunk. Also to make my bass a little tighter. Being this was my first time using it i must say it was very easy to use. Once you do a piece or two, you will definitely get the hang of it. I would suggest getting the rolling tool as well which is sold separately to help smooth it out. Other than that, great product for the price. FYI, it will add more weight to trunk and is very noticeable when you open and close it.

It took my doors from sounding like tin cans to a more solid sound. So basically it stiffened my door to eliminate the tin can rattle noise from when the bass hits. Don't get me wrong this stuff is for simple stiffening applications not truly to keep external sound out. You will need way more and thicker material which will add crazy weight to your car. For the price I got exactly what I need it and it was to eliminate the rattle, tin can sound.

Purchased this an installed it on my boat motor box to replace the 20 year-old foam. Was really surprised at how well it went on. Not sure how the noise reduction will be yet or the longevity of its ability to stick to fiberglass. So far I can tell you I’m extremely impressed. Fifth star may be forthcoming.

Just did the entire rear hatch of my Jeep. I have not driven it yet, but I can tell you the hollow sound of that closing door is gone now. This stuff works wonders with surface resonance. I bought a small quantity to try out and I can say I will happily buy more to cover more surface area inside to keep down the road noise and make my tunes sound a bit better. This is some of the best stuff I have used I will be posting a dB rating soon, I can tell a huge difference, I just ordered 110 more sq ft to finishes out my 2011 F-250. Very easy to install and the adhesion is some of the best I have ever worked with. I have completed 4 other vehicles with other products, this is my new go to sound deadening material.

I did most of the trunk of my 2008 Mazda 3 with this stuff ! One box coved most of the inside of the trunk and made a noticeable difference in the reduction of noise, which was my hope. Great deal and great product!

I used this product in my front doors and rear deck lid area. This stuff works great and saved me so much money. The bass from my speakers is phenomenal and the sound deadening properties are just as good as over priced competitors.
