New Upgrade Lighter Bottom Parts Gasket to Reduce The Evaporation+Standby Flint Extension

I can go well over a week, lighting 20 or more times per day between fillings. Have not put it on a shelf to see how long it delays fluid from evaporation. Easy to install. You do have loosen flint spring and replace through hole in gasket. Fits well but tight sliding in (that's what you need for a good seal.) Note: I'm using a real Zippo that is also new.

These were purchased for some used lighters that kept leaking fluid. Put these in problem solve. A great way to fix old lighters for use and resale.

I've had these for well over a year now. My hopes were to slow down the fuel evaporation that Zippo's are famous for. After all this time, I don't really think these have helped that much. Do they help to stop the chemical burn when you overfill the lighters? Maybe. But I'd only imagine saying that is true because the gaskets make it more difficult to overfill the lighter in the first place. As far as the design, quality and fit of these gaskets/seals, they are excellent. I have now compared these gaskets to other options and found them to be superior in design even though I don't think they make a huge difference in fuel evaporation.

I was a bit skeptical, but after a bit of wrangling to install, these lighter seals do appear to slow (but not eliminate) lighter fluid evaporation in my Zippo lighter. They aren't magical, lighter stays filled a couple days longer at best but it appears noticeable. Adds a bit of a burden filling, but you're refilling less often so there's a trade-off. I like the look and the recess for a spare flint is handy. And now I have a few extras for my next Zippos too.

I like these bottom seals for the zippo. I think they do prevent the lighter fluid from drying out a little bit, I’d say maybe a few days longer which isn’t THAT significant, but this is still way better than the felt bottom that was annoying to fold open to refuel everytime. This one has a convenient little door for refueling, and a little spot to hold a spare flint. It’s worth it even just to replace the felt.

These work great for most flip top lighters.

Was easy to switch with the original bottom, fits very snug, and doesn't get in the way at all
