>great sword, bit heavy. the metal isn't the greatest quality (the knuckle guard snapped off when i tried to bend it slightly), but it's acceptable for the price. and the blade itself is nice and shiny.<

A Good Sword!
The sword is good at what it sets out to do, look like a sword. I ordered this for my Dredd Pirate Roberts cosplay. It’s fantastic for that purpose. The etching in the metal looks very cheap but I mean for the price you are paying we really can’t complain. Overall a great sword for cosplay/costume needs!

Overall great sword.
Great sword. Using it for LARP, but don’t expect a “battle ready” sword. Pretty sturdy, though sometimes the blade will come loose. To fix it, just turn the pommel counter clockwise and it should be good. Only issue is the blade is warped towards the point, but it’s not too noticeable unless you stare right down the blade. Overall great sword.

meh
i purchased 5 of these for gifts, a few stick in their scabards and are getting scratch marks when being drawn. i will be returning those for replacement shortly.the mold for the guard is very poor quality, it would look better if they didn't try to put any design on and just left it smooth which it almost is already.the swords them selves are OK, not much wiggle in most of the swords and they look good from a few feet away. once you get them close though you can tell that its a cheap prop.

Pot metal broke either in transit or instantly upon unwrapping
I purchased 8 of these, and the first one I unpacked broke instantly. the guard is a poorly done pot metal pour, and the part snapped off when first sheathing it. All of them are a little hard to sheath; the fit is a little tight. We intend to use them as non-fighting costume pieces onstage, but we'll see how they hold up just to occasional drawing and re-sheathing them. So far; after starting to open them (packaged and shipped in lightweight cardboard; possibly allowing for the breakage to have happened in transit.I guess you get what you pay for!

Cheap but Heavy
I needed something for a costume and this appeared to fit the bill. When first unboxing the item, I realized the sword is a heavy piece of decorative weaponry. It's the weight of a sword, no doubt about that. The blade feels like it's made of stainless steel, and the handle, while mostly plastic, feels nice in the hand. The decorative handle is more flat than it appears in the pictures (it looks like the decorative portion would curve around the handle nicely, but it's a fairly flat piece of decoration). The blade appears fastened into the hold of the handle, but you can see gaps in the hole and I'm afraid if I were to bang the sword against anything even on accident, the whole blade might fall right off from the handle. I definitely won't be even mock-fighting with this thing - it's purely decorative, that much is clear.I immediately noticed when I received the sword that it's bowed. Both the sword and the scabbard are bowed down the flat edge. It's not a hugely noticeable thing when it's sheathed at your hip, but when you have it drawn, you can see the sword isn't perfectly flat.Worse yet, when I went to remove the sword and scabbard from a frog at my hip after testing out how it would look with my costume, the bottom stainless steel decorative chunk of the scabbard fell right off! It appears that it was simply glued on, and the glue didn't hold very well. I had to buy some gorilla glue and re-secure the piece.I'm not exactly happy with my purchase, but with the weight of the product, I don't foresee spending the money to return it. For now, I'm stuck with it, and hopefully it'll survive my costume needs in the coming years.

Amazing customer service, good quality product
For a "costume" sword it is of very good quality and is serviceable. You may need to tweek or tighten it a bit here and there but for the price it exceeded expectations. The blade actually has an edge to it, so if you intend to use it for plays or cosplay you may need to consider dulling and blunting it. Upon arrival my scabbard was bent and damaged. The seller quickly answered my request for support and after sending them a few pictures they immediately sent a replacement. I am very satisfied with this seller and would gladly buy from them again.

Realistic looking piece!
This was the perfect accessory to my daughter’s Zorro costume. Not some cheap looking toy. Only thing is it’s a little long for a child (she’s 12), but she’ll never outgrow it. She’s looking forward to incorporating it into her Rein Faire costume. I’ll be getting another one for myself. Great piece, and only a little bit more $ than the cheap looking plastic ones.
