DIMPLEX3-Stage Built-in Remote Control Kit - Black, BFRC-KIT

We had used our electric fireplace very little in the 10 years or so it had been in place, probably less than 10 hours. Recently, we had problems getting it to turn on and we experienced a horrible buzzing noise when turning the heater on (with no heat coming out). After a bit of debugging, I determined this was the solution, sure enough, it solved the problem. I have a feeling the manufacturer discovered the version had technical flaws and created this is an updated version. It was extremely easy to install and worked perfectly, and it solved the heater buzzing issue too. While I had it apart, I replaced the incandescent bulbs with LED candelabra bulbs.

Received quickly, had the part replaced in 15 minutes. The part in the picture did not look like the one I had, but the part number matched so I decided to buy it. The received part was identical to the one I had in my fireplace with a switch that goes from Remote, Off, or Manual. Don't be deterred by the picture. If you need part BFRC-KIT, this should work for you.Hardest part was getting the logs out, and getting the old remote module out, and the new one in. The logs feel like you are going to break something trying to get them out, but just keep pulling. I used the metal shield that you take off in the first step to wedge between the base of the logs and the unit to help "pry" it up. The old module required wiggling around and turning to the side to get it out, and putting the new one back in requires the same in reverse. It doesn't just slide straight up/down into place. So just play with it a little and you should be able to get it out/in. Another thing to mention, I think it was the Antennae connection on the board, that somewhat gets in the way of where the module plugs into the fireplace unit itself when trying to put the module in. I noticed on my old one that that connection was bent "away" from the base unit plugin, so I did the same to this one and then got the needed clearance to start working the new module into place.Overall, easy part to replace, price point was better than buying a new fireplace, and my wife is happy again!

This was a great part to purchase to replace the original Electronics in this fireplace! Swap-out was plug-and-play and literally took 30 minute per unit or less! Had two separate problems with each fireplace and this resolved the issue for both! Would purchase again and recommend purchase for someone else!

This kit fit perfectly in my Dimplex fireplace, was lower cost on Amazon than the manufacturer site, and works perfectly. It made my fireplace working again since the original control failed.

Unable to tell if it works or not , I received half the order. The remote is not with the kit. I am currently trying to get it resolved we’ll see.

Extremely easy to install and works absolutely perfect. The circuit board is built nicer than the original one and the remote is nicer and works from farther away as well.

I was so upset when the fireplace went out right before Christmas. They got it to us fast and it was very easy to install. Our old one didn't have a bypass switch, so when the remote stopped working, there was no way to get power to it. We thought the whole thing was shot. This one will work if the remote stops working again. Good improvement.
