Happy Photographer
Loving this monitor is has great colors and lots display area to work my magic. Being a photographer I can say it was worth the purchase. I see some people have complained about support for Macs. Fortunately for me I run Windows 8.1 Pro and have had no issues with it. Lightroom and Photoshop look great on it. I can say I'm very pleased with this purchase. It was a good happy medium going over getting one of the much higher priced professional photography monitors. I currently run this monitor in 10 bpc mode on an AMD 6970 graphics card. The latest AMD drivers now support this with a Displayport connection. The only con for me at this point is that the touch power button sometimes gets brushed by my hand when I'm drinking coffee and turns off the monitor. I had to move my coffee to another location on the desk to avoid this happening constantly. I prefer the buttons you have to actually push to these.

I regret buying 2017 model
I cannot get the daisy chain to work.Color not exactly same as other ViewSonic VP monitors I have.Because it is 2017 model, not compatible withsoftware that controls newer monitors. My fault for saving money on 2017 model.

Great monitor. Not enough to justify an upgrade over the VP2770 at this time.
Essentially the same as the VP2770 of which I have two.Not sure if there is a compelling reason to buy this one while the 2770 is still available and a lot cheaper. The good:Nice improvement is the addition of the mini display port connector. This means I don't have to use dual DVI to power the VP2772. HDMI from a Macbook Pro cannot drive these monitors.Uses the identical mount and pedestal as the VP2770 which means you can pair it with the VP2770 nicely.Same exact form factor and bevel. They can be adjusted identically. The not-so-good:USB ports are STILL not powered. This seems so ghetto for such a high-cost / performance monitor. It is not color matched to the VP2770. When I had two of those, they were identical. Moving to a VP2770 and VP2772 there is a difference. This is not necessarily bad. But if you run them next to each other you can tell. The VP2772 is brighter and almost imperceptibly sharper. Almost.Of course, if you have high-end Viewsonic monitors, you know there is no support. They will ignore every email you send them. Thankfully, Amazon does not and has handled previous issues I've had with this line. It's a lovely monitor but does not offer a ton to justify the current price difference between the 2770 and 2772. If you do art or publishing, you'll notice the sharpness and brightness for sure. If you're using it for office work, you'll not notice much to justify the difference in $.

Beautiful Monitor
Pros:Amazing color accuracy! I thought my old VP2365 had decent colors, but next to this monitor, the colors look so far off I want to buy a calibration tool. The calibration report I received was much better than E<3. In Adobe RGB mode, only 1 of the grays even touched the E=2 line, all other colors were E<2.2560x1440 pixels in a 27" monitor makes for a good pixel density. This helps the edges of objects look smoother and less pixelated/jagged.Fast response time. This might not be the fastest monitor for a first person shooter, but it's not bad. The total input lag (<20ms) + response time (~16ms) is around 35ms, which is only 2 frames at 60fps (there could be very minor ghosting, but I have not tested).Fully adjustable base (tilt, twist, swivel, height).Looks great. The display itself has a slim bezel. Unlike the picture, my monitor has the model number in the upper right corner, and the ViewSonic name in the lower middle is extremely faint. The only led (in the lower right corner) is a nice blue color, and faint (this can even be turned off in the OSD menu). The stand looks elegant, and I love all the adjustability. The front spokes on the stand are twice as long as the back one and stick on rather far, but they are thin so It's easy to place speakers and such around them.Compatible with displayPort, DVI, HDMI (HDMI can only go up to 1920x1200(?) due to bandwidth limitations).Cons:My main complaint is the vertical viewing angles. The horizontal viewing angles look good, but there is a major contrast/color shift on the vertical viewing angles (from around 15°-45°). This is similar to what I see with most TN panels. It's disappointing to have such a contrast shift on a nice IPS panel. I love my early model VP2365wb, which does not have this vertical viewing angle contrast shift. But, I bought a later edition of the VP2365wb, which does have a major contrast shift when viewing at vertical angles. Somewhere along the lines ViewSonic changed their panel for the VP2365wb, and I am saddened that this style panel has continued into their new VP2772 line. This is not a dealbreaker for me, as I mostly view my monitor from directly in front, as most people do. But it does stop me from tilting my monitor into portrait mode and expecting a whole room to get accurate colors/contrast...The buttons for the OSD are not backlit, which makes them impossible to see in a dark room. But, I really only need set these once, so I won't be fumbling through these buttons on a daily basis.Overall:I am very happy with this monitor. It's not as useful in portrait mode as I would like due to the poor vertical viewing angles (which become horizontal viewing angles when rotated into portrait mode). But, as long as I am viewing from a relatively straight angle, it's an impressive monitor.

Bellyflop into the sub-basement
Anyone considering using this product on a Mac should really reconsider their choice. Both documentation and support is geared entirely towards Windows users only, in spite of the company proclaiming that this a fully Mac compatible and supported product! The product functions in the Retina native resolution of 2560x1440, but the screen fonts are so horrible that you swore you connected your machine to a $50 monitor. If you intend on using this monitor for any type of word processing and are expecting text to be as crisp and well defined as it is on a Retina display...think again. You can turn sharpness all the way down to zero (which helps a little), but the out of box configuration and zero support from the manufacturer makes this one of the worst high-end monitor choices out there on the market for OS X users. ViewSonic needs to completely overhaul both its marketing and support departments. Email only support for a $900 monitor is nonsense. An "out of box" unusable default configuration for reading simple text is an unforgivable sin. The company earns an "F" for product design, an "F" for over-hyped marketing, an "F" for nearly non-existent setup and configuration documentation, and a huge "F" for no direct customer support.
