Great Product!
I've been looking for a quality HDMI switch for about a month now. Purchased two different switches (through Amazon) that cost me around 10 dollars each - CHEAP - which was a bad decision on my part. Neither of them worked. One had screen distortion, the other just didn't work at all.So after doing a little research, I spent a little more money on this one - and am quite happy with the purchase!**4/25/2022 Update**This thing is still working flawlessly. I just ordered a second one for my PC so that I can connect a Switch dock to my second PC monitor and have Discord up while I play Switch games online with friends. Very happy with this purchase! My problem was simple - I have a 4k TCL with only 3 HDMI ports. The third port is an ARC port - occupied by a TCL soundbar. So I was down to 2 free ports. I have 4 consoles that I wanted to connect to the TV - so I needed a switch. The Blackbird is simple to hook up. Connect the display to the HDMI out, consoles, BR players, ect to the inputs, plug it in and it just works. The remote is easy to understand - but you don't really need that if you switch the HDMI Matrix to "Auto" - then it just switches on the fly. It's smaller than I expected. I figured this would be about the size of a Bluray player, but its maybe a bit bigger than my cellphone. It has a metal casing - feels solid. Bright LED's (almost too bright), and doesn't draw too much power. As of this review I've only had it for a day (received it a few hours ago) - but it seems to be working fine without any issues. So far I'm super happy with it. Would recommend to anyone looking to expand their HDMI ports on their television!

Best in class
This is the best HDMI Matrix in this price range. I'm not using all of the features but it is an improvement over my last matrix, simply because the ARC feature can be turned off. My last matrix did not have this option and would cause a conflict since my TV would not be able to process the CEC from both the soundbar and the matrix, meaning I couldn't use my soundbar at all (plugged directly to the TV using HDMI) while the matrix was plugged in. With this Monoprice HDMI matrix I no longer have this issue and the features I've tested so far have worked flawlessly. What I've used so far: two 1080p/60hz inputs, two tvs. Duplicating one either source to both TVs works with seemingly no input lag. Picture quality and frame rate is excellent, doesn't look degraded or grainy at all. Switching between sources and having each TV show a different input also worked flawlessly.I have yet to test two 4k/60hz sources but will update if I do. There is a 1-2 second black screen when switching sources. What may be a deal breaker for some and the only downside I see so far is the bright blue lights on the front. See the picture provided. I haven't found a way to turn these off and taping over them would hide necessary indicators. If this is going to be visible in you home theatre set up, you may want to rethink placement. Mine is behind a glass door under the TV so the bright light is not so easy on the eyes and distracting.

Does the trick but finicky
I have several gaming consoles and the need to switch between my desktop monitor and my tv. Before was a lot of unplugging cables and risking damage to my consoles. It does as advertised and works well but can be really finicky when detecting a source. Same for the audio capture. If things don’t work try setting the system to auto. Due to this I am giving a 4 out of 5.Also hdmi control does not work through this device. That is a given. So if you want to have your Apple TV turn off the tv it won’t work.

It only works for 13 months
I have purchased two over two years. First one worked only 13 months and no warranty, I replaced it with a new and it only work for 13 months. Each time I call the company and both times they say it was out of warranty. NO help from Blackbird. Do not buy this!

Works great
Works well at 2k with a monitor and a 1080p tv. Both hooked up to a Xbox x, ps5 and Nintendo switch. No problems at all and setup in no time. Don’t go with cheaper ones. Also audio works great through the headphone jack

Great for splitting 4K HDR video and TrueHD/DTS-HD audio between TV and AVR without loss of quality
I use this as an HDMI switcher for my 4K sources, sending HDR video to my 4K TV from output A and TrueHD/DTS-HD audio to my older AVR from output B. It's a bit tricky to get working correctly (download the manual!), but once it's set up properly, it works great, at a fraction of the price of a new AVR.

Great quality. Easy setup
Very simple to get up and running. Video quality high in both of my outputs: monitor and elgato capture card with OBS.

Works great!
Have a Nintendo Switch, Xbox series S, a PC, and a retro emulation console plugged into it and split into a TV and a monitor at my desk. Works great for what I need
