Some good, some terrible
Definitely some good information in this book. However, the section on writing the results is terrible. I do support the idea of organizing the section around the story (findings), but the way the author minimazes the inclusion of statistics, the lack of reporting exact p values, using comparison words (e.g., greater) but including only one group, stating that including non-significant test information is "meaningless detail" are all troubling.

a real masterpiece not only for psychology but also for general science
I teach (English) Language Arts for Science in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) environment. This book was written for psychologists, but its clear and concise guidance is also useful for scientists. It covers both the sentence and discourse levels, with vivid examples that illustrate how the author's advice works. Researchers themselves will surely benefit from this compact and well-organized guide; writing teachers will also find much to improve the quality of their teaching.
