The tradition lives on! This was Grandpa's favorite toy, Dada's favorite toy, and now Grandson's favorite toy. Some of the best toys are simple and mesmerizing and don't need batteries.

Bought this one mostly for me. For my fond childhood memories and to help me enjoy some fun while doing my physical therapy for a rebuilding my abilities from a broken wrist. It really helps keep my mind focused on the wrist twists and turns and off the discomfort and makes the work easy.Of course I also will let my grandchild play with it soon. I can see how it will help develop both his mind attention, physical coordination and focus. Great toy for all ages.

Everyone who comes into my house picks it up and starts playing with it. Not quite as sturdy as the original from the fifties but close enough.

Retro toys are the best. This is better than a table and more beneficial.

Unfortunately the Schylling Magnetic Gyro Wheel was defective and did not work. The Box was in good condition, but when they opened them Christmas morning they were inoperable.My children have enjoyed the schyllingmagnetic gyro wheel toy in the past with no initial problems. After awhile they may not track correctly, but that’s after multiple uses.The wheel would not fit onto the metal track on the first use.. I was unable to return the Gyro Wheels on time and wasted approximately $30 on the damaged toys.

I originally bought some cheaper light up versions of this, but you get what you pay for, so I returned those and bought this instead. It's smooth and mesmerizing, never getting caught on some bump or poor spacing in the rail and requiring little effort to continue the "magic" movement.

The toy works, very fun and educational for my 4 year old. Only thing I did not like is that the construction/quality is not what I expected, it seems pretty flimsy. Other defect I observed is that the red tab which moves up or down to control distance between two wire rails is not well placed. If you move it up to reduce distance between wire rail then it starts bumping into the rotating wheel. If you move it down, now the distance between wire rail is too large for the wheel axle to ride on it. It just has to be right, there is very tiny margin of error!!!
