Can this matress be used for a floor bed?

When am i able to sleep on it? after it rises to 5inches and the smell goes away right? or should i just wait a couple of days?

This mattress ships compressed and can take up to 48 hours to fully expand. We recommend waiting to use the mattress until it has approximately reached its full height. This can take anywhere from on hour to couple days. All new foam products can have a new smell when they are first opened. This smell is completely harmless and should dissipate very quickly. A great way to air the mattress out is to place it in a well-ventilated room with a fan blowing on it.
