Well made
This is really cool and fun. Not gonna lie, it took some practice. But now it's easy and can't wait to have enough squares to make something.

Greatly improved modern Weave-It
I had several vintage Weave-Its in my stash, although I did not learn to use them until a member of my weaving guild recently gave a hands-on presentation. Another guild member brought her Zoom Loom to the presentation. Since I had taken a card-weaving class with John Mullarkey and bought a card loom of his own design, I was vastly amused by the handy yarn-holding slot that also appeared on the Zoom Loom. However, the Zoom Loom has many refinements that make it worth the $15 or so more that you'll pay compared to a vintage Weave-It or even a modern replica--and the handy yarn slot is the least of these, and actually doesn't grip finer yarns (i.e. fingering weight) all that well. The wider frame makes it much more comfortable to hold when weaving, but the loom still fits in a standard plastic sandwich box for easy transport. (The Zoom Loom's "handy carrier" is the lightweight cardboard box (with handle) in which the loom is packaged; mine was squashed in transit because it was shipped in a bubble envelope). There is a slight trough on the inside edge of the frame that makes it easier to weave the last row. Imprinted on the back of the loom is the vital information about how much yarn is needed per square, and how many times one must circle the yarn around the pegs to measure out the last, woven, layer of yarn. The embossed guiding numbers on the front of the loom are large and easy to see. The weaving needle is also the correct size--6 inches, and a little finer than the 5" weaving needle commonly found in craft stores (many vintage looms have lost their original needles, and the standard replacement needle is a little too thick, so the edges of the eye become worn and rough from being forced between the pins). This is a entertaining, portable toy suitable for "craft-y" adults and older children. I'd stick with potholder looms for age 10 and below.

Really Nice
I know how to weave and have had a number of large floor looms so when I saw this small loom I was delighted. I looked around to see what other similar items are being sold and this loom is the best. The loom is pleasant to hold as it has a nice edge and the pegs are rounded at their tips so no issue with pricking fingers. The frame is "plastic" so no splinters and less likely to split as wood might do.The loom is packed with a nice little book of instructions including diagrams of how to warp, weave and finish your weaving.. There is also information about yarn weights and a code to links for additional information about the loom. I don't think you could ask for more. Oh ! Also included are long and short needles for threading your loom and a few extra pegs. Schacht is a great company and has designed a quality item to introduce weaving to all age groups.

works great, but a bit too slippery
This is my very first loom, and I just love it. It was easy to figure out how to use it. Very important - do not tighten the yarn too much or it will be hard to weave. It makes nice woven squares with sports or worsted weight yarn. I guess you can use thinner yarns, too, but I am not sure it will look great. The white plastic is very smooth, and yarn slides over it with much ease, in fact, it seems to be a bit too much - the yarn wants to jump off the loom while you are doing the first three steps before actual weaving, and it needs to be held in place or everything wants to unravel. Probably, older versions of this loom made of wood would have worked better being a bit more grabby, but making wooden loom in the same improved shape might be tricky. The pins do not have heads - they are just straight pins, so finished squares are easy to remove. It also have pins in two opposite corners, so you can weave on a diagonal with a crochet hook. The loom comes in a reusable box with a velcro closure.

A lot of fun. Quick to make squares
Wasn’t sure if I would like this, but it is fun and quick. Just make 4x4 squares then sew together. Great purse project.

This loom is easy and FUN!
It will last forever. So many patterns found for free online to keep my daughter happy. Perfect size and she make quite a few squares to put together for larger projects. This is the third of this loom I have bought, two were gifts to others. Adults love the quick finish of each square, the amount of different patterns, and the ability to make larger project with these.

Zoom Loom Happy!
I have really enjoyed weaving on the Zoom loom. I learned layered weaving and also weaving patterns that I can apply to my other looms. The Zoom loom is comfortable to hold and the instructions & diagrams are very clear.
