Very good.... and sharp... blade.
I ordered the blade only version because... even though I have a high respect for this tool maker... I have always felt that their handles are nowhere near the quality of their blades. The rounded/oval shape of their handles is fine but they are way to short for my hands... which really make a difference here because they just cut off the end abruptly, leaving a hard edge to cut into the palm. So... having said that, I made my own handle... and did a terrible job at it. But if I were to order again... I would still just get the blade. It has a nice long tang that is easy to work with (even when you are a poor handle designer, like me). The blade holds and edge well and the tip narrows nicely to a point. I would like to get another blade... but about half as long for more detail carving.

Awesome.
My favorite blade for wood carving and general crafting purposes I wanted one this size, but they were sold out forever. That & I don’t really like how small the handles are in morakniv’s other wood knives I’ve bought. 10/10 glad I got this, spent a lot of time making the handles and sheath but it was worth it

Wicked sharp blade.
I love mora knives. The Swedish steel is something special. It really says something when Japan imports iron ore from there for their high end steels. I am not a wood carver, but this blade shape and size are very useful. I cut part of the tang off and wrapped it in paracord. It makes for a nice EDC fixed blade. The edge is very hard. It will hold and edge for some time. Do not pry with this! The core is too hard to weather flexing. You can actually see the line where the steel has been laminated around the hard core. Keep it oiled because this is carbon steel. It's made for its sharpness not corrosion resistance. Overall and excellent knife for those who want to place a handle on one. Will probably get another and put an antler or bone handle on it.

Not the best blade I had...
Well, the blade was somehow tarnished ever since I opened the package. It had some odd black dots all around. While examining it, I accidentally dropped the blade and its tip broke off. I had to use a belt grinder to fix it. Its cutting properties are moderate. I sharpened it to a razor edge, however, it doesn't hold well. All in all, I'd say that it should cost at least half the price I paid for it. Even some extremely cheap Chinese blades outperformed this one. Not what I expected from a known blade maker...

Just Yes
I am not necessarily a woodcarver, I don't see the point to spoons, and I do not know how to, or what the heck is, or where to find, a slojd; BUT I am an avid, obsessive woodworker. I grab a knife hundreds of times during a traditional cabinet or furniture build. I had the shorter one for quite some years before seeing Jarrod Dahl grabbing a boutique knife very similar to this one. I handled it, then put it to work. After poking the palm of my other hand for about a month, I cannot see myself going to any other knife. The thin, long tip is intuitive to use in sensitive, small areas, and the length makes a scissor or shear cut effective. Laminated steel has faded away from readily available tools, sadly. This is my recommendation for anyone wanting a knife for woodworking, no matter what one chooses to make.
