Two Meats at Once
MTM: No, not Mary Tyler Moore. Meat Temperature Matters. If you are looking at this review, you already know you use a meat thermometer for at least one of two reasons. Either you need to reach a certain temp for tastiness of food, or for the sake of health. You know nasty beasties will thrive in your meat under a particular temp and you don't want that. Who does? You might've even used a meat thermometer before. This works just like the one you know. Poke the meat, leave it in while cooking, and when it gets to that magic temp, it's done.It isn't wireless but you're smart enough to know a roast will take a while and a steak not so long. You see the temp clearly in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. Pick your favorite or switch just for kicks. With two temps, your meals will be twice as likely properly cooked. Every grill has hot and less hot areas, even gas grills. This allows you to cook anyway you like and still trust that internally, it is the right temperature.Save me a piece, OK?--Brockeim

Best For Smoking At Low Temps
I use this dual temp meat thermometer to monitor temps when I'm smoking boston butts or brisket in my smoker. You can also use it as an instant read thermometer but it is not that instant: you have to wait about 10-15 seconds to get an accurate reading. The cable lengths are 43 inches, which is great when you have meats deep in your smoker. The probe is only 4 " long so you might not get all the way to the center of a big boston butt or picnic shoulder, so something to consider. The display has a magnetic backing as well as the cable storage piece. The display is backlit by just tapping the virtual the power button on the LCD display. The instructions are basic but are not accurately translated from Chinese. The app, however, is awesome. From there, you can monitor the temps, set alarms, name each probe so you know what temp you are looking at, etc.I didn't use it in my oven or grill because I was concerned about the rubber housing at the top of the probe being able to withstand certain temperatures. I asked the question on the product page Q&A but have not received a response yet.The bluetooth range is only about 10-12 yards. It almost defeats the purpose since I'm already that close I can just read the temp from the display.Overall, it is accurate within +/- 5 degrees and, for the price, I believe it is a good value.

A basic tool, but there are better options for a little more
There aren't many great choices in the $20-25 space, so this may be as good as it gets at that price point. For $35-50, you have much better options with Bluetooth and/or with a dedicated receiver (eliminating and privacy concerns with apps). For the $20 price, you get a decent thermometer setup with two probes. The temps came out close to what I got using a Maverick thermometer or my iGrill setup. The range wasn't great, but comparable to my iGrill setup. The app is a bit dubious, doesn't match what's in the guide, and asks for a lot of permissions. I have an old Android phone I use for stuff like this, so it wasn't too much of a concern, though I'd be more concerned (for privacy and battery life) if I had an app like this on my everyday phone. All in all, it's a lot for $20, but I'd spend a little more and get a standalone setup. Even the pricier and more feature packed iGrill hasn't changed my mind--there's nothing better than a set of standalone wireless thermometers.

Takes the temp!
It works! The touch screen power button is a bit wonky and adds to some multi pushes trying to get the thing on the right temp setting. To power it off, you have to push and hold this same power "button". The probe wraps are bit weird but do a good job of holding them in place and unrolls without tangles. You still need to be a little careful to not kink the metal braiding on the wire. The two probe holders are held together with magnets and the main control unit also secures to that with a magnet. This is pretty smart and does a good job of holding everything together. The cable lengths are more than enough to run up and out off an oven or your grill. The main unit body having a magnet means it's easy to stick it to a leg of your grill. Having two probes allows for two temp readings in separate parts of your meat. I wouldn't call it "high end" but it does the job with a quick read.

Slooooow, accuracy not great
This is a handy device. It's nice to be able to monitor 2 steaks at the same time. I also used it for bread. I like being able to stick the probs in the meat or whatever and get an almost real time read or if the temperatures. I'm using the term real time loosely. These are very slow, it takes them at least 30 seconds to produce an accurate temperature. I'm using the term accurate loosely too. I tested the probes in boiling water and they were off. So I tested them multiple times. The accuracy is within +/-3 degrees Fahrenheit and it's not consistent. I also tested them at room temperature against other thermometers I trust with the same results. Sometimes they read a bit low and sometimes a bit high. While this isn't great, there accuracy is close enough for most applications.I attached a picture of the probes wound up on the storage reels. To use them you have to remove them. The cable isn't long enough to be on the grill/in the oven and wound around the reel. There is no cover for the tips of the probes so they are waiting to stab you if you stick these in a drawer. You can solve that with an alternate storage solution, but why should you have to?
