Great brush sound
My go to for brushes. They have a lot of brush sound and when ya smack the drum, they give a nice thud that just works. Better than blasticks by a mile.

Real Broomsticks
Genuine broomsticks from Promark. Much better quality than the no-names. Get them!

Well made brushes
The brushes are well made. Haven't used them yet, but hopefully they'll last long.

A nice alternative
I love these things. They are very quiet on the kit, although you can get some volume if you do a rim shot. I like how big they are in my hands. I play Vic Firth SD2's which are pretty thick so these feel similar/familiar. You really can vary the sound on the drum when you mess with the rubber band, making the end firmer or softer. They're not made for whaling. I love using them on my practice pad too. They make a very pleasant sound on the pad. These really are a nice cross between a multi rod and a brush. These are the mediums and I think they're the perfect size. The larges seem like you'd be gripping Pringles cans.

Great sound! May not cut through in live situations, but great for recording. Will not last forever, though.
I purchased these to complement my Vater Cajon Brushes. It turns out that they feel the same diameter and offer ALMOST the same sounds. These broomsticks play a little softer than the Vater Cajon brushes, and give a nicer "swish" sound than the harder plastic used in the Vaters. I don't see these Broomsticks lasting too long, but I bought them for a specific purpose and that was met in my ears. You can get a nicer "smush" sound than plastic brushes of this type, and you can get a different type of rim shot. I am more interested in different tones and sounds for recording and not really playing out, so these Broomsticks add another color to my sound palette. These sticks work similarly to my Vater Cajon brushes on the cajon, but are just a bit softer. I could see these sticks being torn apart with vigorous playing, but I took that into account.

Good sound , bad quality
Great sound options on my cajon, Quality sucks however, it comes apart in a short while. Thank the gods I don't exclusively play cajon, but do use them on more acoustic gigs without drummer. Don't know why they can't make em to last longer. Obviously, because they sound better than any other option , you'll continue to purchase them. Im actually going to hunt for more options at $25 a pop I go through 3 sets a year. Way too much , as little as I use them.....

Love These!
I absolutely LOVE these! I use them for my latin kit, which consists of bongos, conga, djembe, snare box, and snare (along with cymbals). They are very comfortable to hold and I get good projection from the drums as well as a soft sound on the skins. I prefer them to other "sticks" for my style. You can also use them as brushes. Highly recommend. :)

I really like these, but...
Brooms are fun to use, big and thick, different, and sound really good on the snare.Ultra-quiet too, more so than any other type of brush, multi-rod, or other light volume stick. However, I can't get much of anything out of the ride cymbal, like when playing a straight 4/4 beat. And the crash cymbals have very little attack, and so sound a bit "late".Anyone else notice this? They DO sound very good on bass and open tones with hand percussion as well.Edited:Okay, used the Broomsticks again at a jam session in my studio with some "metal" musicians doing acoustic version of their songs. The Brooms did very well. Yes, the cymbals were soft, but I'm learning better how to attack them to get the most.Warming up to them, they are better than I'd first thought. Starting to frizz out a bit, but holding up pretty well.I like 'em a lot!
