Bridging Basic to Advanced
This book will help you bridge taking your python understanding from basic to advanced. Yes it will take additional work to look into things such as libraries, syntax that might not be fully explained at some parts but it help to allude to gaps that exist in your knowledge. There's also many approaches mentioned in this book with the language you would not consider as a novice. It doesn't cover everything but it helps get you in the right direction for understand _some_ of the more advanced topics. I'm currently half way through the book.

Well researched
This is clearly written by someone who has fought in the trenches of software development. An excellent resource for avoiding hours of headaches.

"Serious Python" is a must for advanced Python users
This book is a little bit out of the ordinary; I don't recommend it for those wanting to learn Python. This book is definitely for the advanced users, inasmuch it treats arguments not covered by other books on Python. For those who write Python professionally, it treats very interesting arguments APIs, software distribution, unit testing, performance and optimisation. The interaction with databases is also well written. For those who write commercial software this a unique book. I learned much from this work and can heartily recommend it.

At last, a book on Python that suits my learning style.
Although I haven't finished the book, having got 28% of the way through it I can say it suits me well - clearly written, covers all the points, and covers the material at a pace that isn't difficult for someone who finds it hard to find time.

A buffet of great advice for anyone wanting to be serious with python development
Although some topics like attr are not anymore current (being replaced by dataclass), this book has great advice for professional python development. The cherry on top is the interviews of some star python developers dishing out great advice from their experience.I loved the book and would recommend without a hiccup.
