I recently used a chlorinated brake pad cleaner while replacing the brake pads on my car, and it worked great. It cleaned everything really well and fast, without much effort. Just a quick spray, and the dirt and grime were gone.I was also dealing with an annoying squeaky sound, which I think was due to dust buildup. After using this cleaner, the noise completely disappeared. If you’re doing any brake work, I highly recommend this product. It’s effective and made the whole process a lot easier.

Doesn't smell "too" crazy, seems to have worked fine, and isn't super expensive. We used it to clean up my son's engine parts when we pulled his cylinder head to have rebuilt. While it was off we used this to clean the block, pan, spots around the engine bay, timing belt cover, front of the engine, and the outside of his intake manifold.It still has a pretty stout odor, so you'll need some ventilation. I did it in my detached garage with the small personnel door open a few feet away from me and it was fine.

This helped me when I changed my brake pads. Kept everything nice and clean. Still have so much left 😄
