Protection as advertised
These are supposed to be long so they can be cut to fit but dang. I don’t know what giant they made these for! I have to cut off 6 inches or better to not trip over them. This only leaves one button at the bottom. This has me a little worried they might unsnap while riding. Love the side leg zipper and step entry. I ordered one size bigger than regular pants size and they are definitely bigger! Could wear thermals and jeans and still have room to spare. Had to order suspenders to feel secure. They do however keep the cold wind out and make cold riding so much more enjoyable. If I had to do it over again, I would probably get regular pant size and wear shorts or pants that are not jeans under them to get rid of the bulk. Right now there is a leather clad state puff marshmallow man riding his Harley around in February.

VERY nice product for the money
I was looking for something that was well-suited to wear over my slacks or jeans when riding in the winter. I commute year around, and it can get chilly when it is below 40 degrees or so.I too had a little bit of a problem with getting a link to my correct size, but I called leatherup before I placed my order. They helped me make sure I was ordering the correct size.Once I received the pants, I was very happy with them. They are a nice, heavy leather and the stitching appears solid. They are lined with some kind of synthetic material which makes them easier to put on and remove. I just unzip the legs and slip them right over my dress slacks that I wear to work. Once there, they come off in an instant. Exactly what I was looked for.The pants have no hem at the bottom as they are intended to be cut to fit. I'm pretty tall, 6'3", so I just left them. Also, I did a lot reading before on them and was advised to order them a few sizes bigger. I did. I normally wear a 38 waist, but I ordered these in a 44. I have plenty of room and they sit comfortably even with another pair of pants underneath.I did have to buy another, larger belt just to use with them. They have an elastic waist band, but it is not enough.Overall, I am very happy for the money. My jacket came from Foxcreek Leather. So I know high quality leather. I'm sure that the FC product is superior amd I was tempted, but the same product from Foxcreek was $350! These serve the same purpose for a quarter of that. I will get a lot of good use out of them. I am certain.

Ridiculously long
I ordered a 50 to fit over pants. My outseam is 38, the outseam on these pants was 53. Trimmable but I would be into the zipper so I had to return. 15" too long and I am 5'-9". So that means they will fit you great if you are about 7'-2" to 7'-8" tall.

Ordered 2 sizes larger than waist and fit fine over my jeans like I needed/wanted
the overpants seemed to be about the right fit over my jeans and gave me enough room in the thighs to easily sit on the MC. (I ordered 2 sizes larger than jean size which was recommended by ad and another user) Lowest temp I rode in so far (had for 1 week) was 44 degrees for 50+ miles and keep me very comfortable. Relatively easy to access my cell phone and wallet (on my jeans) because of elastic waist band. By the way the elastic was enclosed in the leather waist band as opposed to another brand I had tried which left it exposed and easily damaged or wear faster. Very nice feature for durability & functionality. Also the pockets on the pants seemed to function as well as my jeans, I just didn't trust that billfold, phone. because may slide out etc., but front pockets secured my billfold very comfortably. Very happy with them and don't think could have gotten a better pair or fit.

Ordered 42 for 40 waist
Ordered 42 for 40 waist. Have 32 inseam pants have what seams like a 40 inseam. I have to find someone to fix this. While trying on belt loop broke. Will need to buy a pair of suspenders to hold up pants. The leather is nice and soft not to hard or ridged. Easy to get on over cowboy style riding boots.

First impression
Got these yesterday. Tried them on both alone and over a pair of jeans. The fit is actually pretty decent. The material seems to be of a fairly good quality, and the stitching seems solid. Since these have stretch material in the waist as well as a full set of belt loops (and 5 pockets!), I'm going to try them both as over-pants and as riding pants. They do fit my 1.5" mission belt so I can use my OWB holster. I did try to get them over my jeans with the IWB rig but they just aren't comfortable that way. They will likely be somewhat long in the inseam. A pair of decent shears will size them fine, and if you're good with the right needle (or a machine), or have someone to do the job, I'd hem them so they have nice finished look. They seem to be both warm and comfortable. I'll update this review after I take them out on the bike. It's in the high 30s to low 40s here so it will be a good test of their ability to buffet the cold.

Excellent buy for working riders...
Purchased these because I ride pretty much year round. When the weather gets too cold for my legs wearing only slacks, I slip these on over my pants and I am good to go. Rain, road grime, or just plain cold weather, these over pants with thermal lining have been a fantastic way for me to extend my riding well into our winter. Definitely buy them at least 2" larger than your normal pants size (wear a 40 waist and bought a 42 over pant). The length was plenty long for trimming to height. The crotch is a little low for general walking around but when the wind is blowing by on that highway I feel no chill in the 'nethers.' I would certainly recommend these over pants for anyone needing an additional level of protection from the cold or rain of the winter season.

Go Size Up if Worn Over Pants
bought these with the intentions of not wearing any bottoms under them. My normal pant size is a 30 and I bought a 30. it worked well but if i would not be able to wear them over pants. Also I find them a little tight in the crotch area so hopefully that loosens with time.
