Excellent tape measure
I'm a contractor and use a couple of these tapes daily. It's a nice solid tape and has stood up well to job site abuse. Comfortable in your hand too.

Great on its own, not great by Greenlee standards
So far, this seems like a great tape. The rating is from unpacking and inspection for damage (shipping). To begin, this feels like a sturdy package. The plastic feels strong, and there is a semi-slick rubber over most of the non-stainless body. While the stainless is very attractive, it does feel like the weakest part (as there is a good amount of flex in what I am guessing 20g flashing). The body is extremely well shaped, and feels better in my hand than housings with hard edges. The body is also relatively narrow, and devoid of hard edges... I will wager this will snag on things less often if worn on the hip.The tape reel itself feels much heavier than other tapes of roughly the same width. The concave face is fairly aggressive, and will extend about 8 1/8 feet before collapsing under its own weight. The hash marks are well printed, with no hazy lines or irregularities. While the standard yellow looks fine, the contrast ratio leaves something to be desired when compared to a white face tape. While most tapes tend to just give inches to be added to the foot mark, this tape spells out feet and inches from the tang. The printing is on the other side exactly the same, but I can't help but wish they reversed the metric and imperial on the opposite side. I also wish the hash marks included a few of the larger measurements spelled out, such as eighths - as it makes identifying a sixteenth much faster. The tang looks like plated steel, and is ferrous; which says it's not stainless. The action on the tang is very precise, but still slides easily on three substantial rivets. The reach of the tang is also very large on the bottom and top, and I would expect it to catch edges much easier than most tapes. The return on the tape is solid, but I wouldn't say is a "power return".The belt clip feels like the second weak point. While the spring steel feels at least on par with a tape of professional caliber, a single small screw just looks undersized for the brand. Two screws or a small amount of swivel would probably have been better, adding to the as of yet unknown longevity.Lastly, the hold button/switch. This could have been a little improved to have some texture, but I guess the dimple is good enough. You can momentarily hold the tape, or fully slide and lock the button to hold the tape extended hands free.Over all, I feel like this is a nicer than average tape; but owning about $1200 worth of Greenlee tools: this does not feel like the brand is being properly represented. This feels like a contract product from another company, and likely the lowest bidder to meet specifications. I haven't decided if this will be my primary tape in my bag. Some of my photos are putting the tape next to my Fastcap for size and contrast (color) comparison; not to promote one over the other.

Nice. Breaks quick
It's excellent idea to have markings in both sides. A lot of time in regular the tapes the twist and you can read. This solves that. But the quality of the metal, it's somehow poor. It starts cracking very easy with normal use.

Mala calidad
Es la cinta métrica más comoda que he usado, pero Una semana de uso y ya se rompió, espero pueda usar la garantía que ofrece la compañía,porque no es nada económico la cinta métrica.

Everything cost 5 times more than it actually according to my boss.
I bought this to prove a point to my boss that this tape measure does not in fact cost 100$. It is a nice tape measure though.

good tape
There is nothing wrong with tape for the money... I ordered about 5 different ones to see which was the best and this one is in one of my favorite group.

Good for short distance measurements.
The tape is flimsy. It is nice for measurements of 8' or less. Longer horizontal measurements are difficult because it doesn't have a magnet. Union Electrician.
