Mothers 01548 CMX Ceramic Wash & Coat, 48 oz.

I have used this for quite a while. It works good; leaves a nice shine & last a long time. I use the "pro instruction" and apply it full strength on the hood, top, and trunk of my cars as they get the most sun, heat, ... Very pleased with this product.

My house is probably one of the worst places to wash a car. Always in the sun, always dry, always windy. Unless I use a rinseless wash it's not a question of if I can get the car washed without water spots, but how bad they will be. With Mothers CMX what dries is a Ceramic residue that can be buffed off, no water spots! I followed the directions for a new coating and it left a ridiculous shine. Easy to use, cleans great, leaves a great shine. A winner in my book. I will be trying some of Mothers other Ceramic products.

I tested this product on a non ceramic coated and ceramic coated car. I was pretty surprised it was able to bead water after doing the wash. The only thing about this soap is that there is not much suds which makes washing the car quite difficult. I would recommend washing the car first with a high suds soap then use the CMX wash as a second step. I also tried this product in the foam cannon. It does not work very well at all to create suds. It becomes a large scale CMX Ceramic spray pretty much. It still will leave a coating of CMX though and will make the car look shinier and smooth to the touch. Does not suds up much so it feels like your car isn’t getting a good wash. This is the first ceramic wash I ever used so I have nothing to go by. I will try others after this one. It does leave water spots if you don’t dry it with a micro fiber towel right away.

So I had my car detailed and waxed with Ceramic wax. Car looked better than when I bought it. I was told that I had to maintain it by not doing a regular wash because it would slowly remove the wax. So I bought this ceramic wash. I must say that I was very impressed. Car looked exactly what it looked like after it was waved. This product does not foam at all which is fine for me. You might get three vehicles washed using foam canon but without foam. I normally remove majority of dirt from my vehicles with pressure washing then I apply car soap, wipe, then wash off. I also bought Turtle wax ceramic wash which I will review after my first use. I would recommend this for anyone with ceramic wax on their vehicles. I tried this on my hooptee daily driver as well and it did add a bit of luster to a vehicle that had not been wax in years.

Doesn’t have suds and if you are not careful with the amount you use, it’ll leave a white residue. Doesn’t really feel like your washing the car.

I used this to clean up a 23 year old BMW with original paint. It did a great job at making the clear coat shine again. I followed directions, I think the most important thing is not letting it dry on its own, you have to use a towel to dry. I use microfiber towels to dry anyway so that wasn't an issue for me. I did not experience any of the "white spots" some of the other reviews mentioned. It says clearly on the bottle it's a low-suds formula, so if you're looking for something that foams maybe go with something else. I think it does well even without the suds. Follow the directions and you'll have a good time.

Edit 8/16/2022; I have a 3 year old black car this picture is the reflection off the passenger side door after using Mothers CMX ceramic wash. Works great on my wheels too! Taken outside with my phone around 7PM, no photo shop. As long I keep getting these kind of results no other product will get a chance. I always wash my car first, been using Chemical guys Maxi Suds II, not by choice it was part of a gift. I'll probably try Mothers 05664 California Gold Car Wash next; just cause I like their stuff. Original; I should have taken a picture that would say it all, but I'm not a picture taking kinda of person. One day after using CMX a red truck was parked next to my black car the whole side and part of the front bumper looked like I had a red car from the reflection. Also in the sun the metallic flakes in the paint make the car look like its been dusted with silver glitter. I ceramic coated the car with chemical guys ceramic coat about two months ago, and I use CMX as a maintenance coat, it's the icing on the cake. The direction say to rinse the car first, but I washed it with dawn and left it wet and then used the CMX according to the rest of the directions. One thing I did do was pour the remainder of my wash bucket over my car before I rinsed with water, and then dried it with a clean micro fiber drying towel, then LIGHTLY buffed with a different all purpose micro fiber polishing towel.

Bottom line: If you go cheap and don’t do a proper research on which soap to use on that nice ceramic coat you got, don’t expect it to last a 1/3rd of what it’s supposed it to. This will make it sure (along with other washing and drying techniques that you should follow of course) it will last for as long as the place that you coated guaranteed to last for.

Grandioso en toda la extensión de la palabra lo utilizo después de un lavado de espuma normal sin contacto después entra mothers cmx wash n coat lavado a mano, y tendrás el refuerzo para cmx sio2 tio2 coating, no hace nada de espuma el shampoo pero después del prewash( con hidrolavadora ) lavas normal con este shampoo tendrás la base perfecta para recubrir tu auto tambien o será tu refuerzo semanal, y además lo utilizo como un rinseless wash tres Oz en 4 litros de agua destilada o garrafón para un traspaso usando la técnica adecuada obvio, había utilizado limpiadores de superficies pero no me convencían antes de cmx,entonces probé después de lavado y seco con Cmx wash n coat, un traspaso extra con la solución que mencione luego aplique el revestimiento y wow aquí está lo mejor en protección x menos de 700 pesos mexicanos, obviamente los mejores resultados serán dejando impecable la pintura antes, pero para un auto normal sin daños relevantes notorios será sin duda uno de sus favoritos en el stock del cuidado del auto.
