Good clean cut on a blend of types of hair
This clipper works well over time and many uses on a sheepadoodle who has a blend of fine silky and tight curly hair, not an easy combination to cut.

GREAT light clippers
We have miniature horses that we body clip for horse shows, some years I do 60 body clips in run of the year. I used to have Double K clippers heavy duty motor with long cord...that EVERYONE uses for minis. But tired of fighting heavy cord hurt my wrist...SO tried one of these and SOLD my Double Ks. I also clip my cocker spaniel so there is plenty of haircuts here. They dont get too hot, LOVE LOVE the ceramic blade it came with can clip 3 horses with it at least before starts getting little dull. They are so Light to hold. Have 3 so keep 1 in house for dog, 2 for us in the barn to clip more than one horse at a time.

Lightweight & efficient
I used to use my Andis 2 speed clipper and swore it was the best. However, after a few years of grooming I have had a lot of wrist fatigue. One of my colleagues recommended this clipper to me because it was lightweight. It is nearly as light as the bravura! This was a game-changer for me. My wrist hurts a lot less using this clipper I'm in love with it. My only genuine complaint is that the blades heat up supremely quick, so you need to change them often or use a LOT of clipper cool, even if you groom quickly. The other thing is that the cord on the bottom that is connected to the base of the clipper itself is wobbly; I looked at the store use ones that we have and they have the same "issue" so I'm sure I will have to eventually hot glue it down in permanent position. Until then, no worries! I don't know why some other reviewers received different colors than ordered, I received my pretty magenta clipper which has glitter in it, and the buttons are all in working order. Highly recommend! It has held up so far, and I groom typically 5 dogs a day 5 days a week. Go for it! Worth the extra cash compared to the Andis 2 speed. Save your wrists!

From a pro groomer: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Known switch issue but they refuse to fix/recall.
I have been a professional groomer for over 8 years, and I groom approximately 40 dogs a week at my business. These clippers are HORRIBLE! Andis used to be the best in the pro groomer world, and they are quickly becoming one of the worst. These clippers have a known issue with the power switch. Every single pair of clippers has this issue but they will not recall them. I returned my first pair thinking I got a dud, but they're all like this. Multiple groomers I work with have had the same issue, as well as hundreds of other groomers in online forums. Andis will fix the issue for you one time (yes the part and labor are free, but you have to pay for shipping even though the issue is their fault). After that you're on your own (and YES the part WILL continue to break repeatedly). It will start with the clippers turning off randomly, and will slowly progress to the clippers not turning on at all making them completely unusable. If you're only grooming your own pets: buy something cheaper. You don't need this much power for one or two dogs and they'll break anyway. If you're a professional groomer: buy literally any brand other than Andis lol.

Great clippers
Love the clippers except they heat up bad! You have to do a quarter of the dog and then wait for them to cook off and do another quarter of the dog and repeat. Not sure how these could be consider professional quality with them hearing us like that.

Great, Great for Doodles but trouble after 1 trim.
Gift: The 5 speed took no time. Fast & glides right over the dog. No knicks, no clogs, & no getting hot. My daughter had a highly rated, but less expensive one & it just did not work on her Doodles at all. After reading the reviews, I concluded that the 5 speed may work better, so I got it for her. The dogs had a million knots. The #10 blade cuts close, fast & perfect. Now she just needs to find a video explaining what blades she’ll need for more designer detailed grooming. Perfect. But 2nd time used did not work the same. Daughter spent tons of time trying to get it right again. She’s pretty handy but it won't cut like before. That was a lot of money for a one time cut. Maybe need videos on maintenance?

Cuts like Butter
OMG. I should of bought this 2 1/2 years ago. Litterly bought this a couple months ago but I've been afraid to use it. I normally just groomed her with scissor, because I gave up on the cheaper brand clippers I had bought and tried to use on her. They litterly pulled her fur. I'm assuming because I like to keep her hair about 2 inches longer than this picture. I bit the bullet today and went short so I got out the new. I am so pleased with these clippers. I recommend paying the price for better clippers for anyone who cuts their own pets. Grip, easy to use and quiet enough that it didn't startle her. Love these clippers!

very satisfied with these clippers
being new to grooming, these are very easy to use. the metal blade does get very hot, so you have to let it cool, but overall, great clippers. just wish they didn't come with plastic blade guards. they aren't very sturdy.
