The BEST bang for your buck
I was watching the bjd hobby from afar for quite some time but put off by the toxic community and (for me) unattainable price points. I wanted a doll I could change their clothes, change the wig, and take nice photos with but I definitely did not want to purchase a "bootleg" or recast resin bjd that was still hundreds of dollars. Then I found this girl. Its a plastic "hjd", or hinge jointed doll, but not a recast. The uCannan doll comes in a beautiful box, the full set outfit is very well made, her wig is long and silky and so beautiful and can be changed! Her face makeup is beautiful, the only thing is I am unsure of is if you can change the eyes or not. There does seem to be a round plate on the back of the head but it seems molded shut, so I don't think I will try opening it and risk ruining her because her included eyes are inset, big and beautiful. She's a standard 1/3 doll so you can switch her outfits as well. I can't believe I paid only $89 for her on black Friday for a full doll with a wonderful outfit and faceupand body makeup already done. I am an adult very new to bjd and saving up for more expensive legit bjd, but I would also consider buying another one of these for my daughter. Such amazing quality for the price, can't praise her enough!

This doll is SO beautiful!
I never owned a BJD doll before, and never meant to, but what drew me to these was the adorable face and the variety of gorgeous, gorgeous clothing. The doll arrived today, and she is all that I hoped for. After looking at other BJDs, I realized that I'm making the right choice. Not only are most of them extremely expensive, most are also either a little too realistic, or fashioned in a kind of artistic, not-quite-human variation. I find both a little creepy (even where the former can be gorgeous when done right, and the latter can be very creative). What I wanted was to focus on the clothing, and this set of dolls, besides being fairly affordable, provided me with just that. The dolls have large eyes, and a serene expression. They are kind of anime, but in a very quiet way, that doesn't distract from their beauty. And the clothing! So much variety, from many eras of human history, including modern. I actually found them with a modern doll (the adorable "Salina"), but decided to purchase "Carina" since she was one of my favorites. Of course, the basic doll can be set up to be pretty much any of the dolls, as long as you purchase the right set. The doll costs about $90 and each set costs $50, so it's like having a lot of dolls when owning just one. I already purchased several alternative sets (including, of course, Salina), and mean to purchase several more, and switch the look every few months. For now, however, I am extremely happy with this variation. The only little issue that cropped up was that I was worried, when placing the wig on, to ruin it since the elastic/rubber is a bit tight and I had to use some force when pulling it on. And here she is, in all her beauty. In the photo, she is reading a book since she's it's required in our house. Who said being a doll is easy?EDITED TO ADD: I also purchased the "Olinna" version since this review. She is just as beautiful and I love them both.

Beautiful dolls with amazing detail!
Absolutely love these dolls. BJD at a 1/3 size are usually super expensive but these were the only ones I could find at a reasonable price with this much quality. The joints hold in place well enough to hold a pose for display and the only thing I wish it had was better wrist joints. The dolls are all fairly easy to assemble and included extra accessories for hair and shoes, though pretty sure its random for each doll. The only problem there was could easily be fixed myself and it was the eyelashes on one side being left uncut and luckily if I messed up each doll came with an extra set of eyelashes.

Very good doll faulted by bad craftsmanship.. :\
My wife's feedback:I am really torn between returning one of the two dolls we bought (which i really hate to do) .. and trying to fix it ..Just a thought - Why on earth a person, who made that doll, took what it seems to be a right leg and placed it where the left leg should be? Why ruin a good product by something .. like that? Is it not obvious that something went wrong so why not fix it right away? Now about the good side. It's very pretty (say 'it' because both are obviously the same mold) and the cloths is amazing. We picked a modern outfit (a bit tired of princesses :) ) and it's wonderfully made plus extra piece of cloths was a dress and there are some accessories plus an extra pair of shoes. They are all random, shoes don't match the dress but well.. that's not a big issue.i think i will not be the only one wishing for more cloths for these dolls on Amazon. Not on etsy , ebay, aliexpress .. amazon :).If you buy these dolls, buy few wigs (check the size) - it's a big plus that you have a chance to change hair . We bought dolls for playing not for collecting, kids always want to cut the dolls' hair so finally having that option - wohoo! :) . Wish eyes were changeable too, yes, i know another mold has that option and easy eyes access but we liked that face :)Another plus and minus.. on a bright side - the doll is indeed is very articulate. But.. only comparing to others.. They have good joints and what's important these are real plastic joints, no elastic rope inside . Minus.. the hands can't rotate 180 degrees which seems like a minor thing until you try to make her wave at her doll-friend or touch her face. One leg moves with some suspicious cracking sound.Long story short - it is not a Barbie Made-to-move joints system quality doll, but still has a good flexibility and joints system. Endless possibilities for hair styles, if you are crafty, I 'm sure you can find the way to change the eyse and it's better , much better than the dolls we see in stores. Sad but true.I am adding the pictures of poor TwoRightLegged Selina and Felice - Felice features different wigs.
