This works great. I did not have to re-program anything. My original controller had a beverage spilled on it and I tried to repair it but a few of the buttons were still sticking. This is worth the replacement until I buy a new receiver.

Bought for replacing malfunctioning OEM control where some buttons had become unresponsive. Worked out of the box no issues with receivers. Only minor annoyance, at least for me, is that it randomly loses its stored TV code and have to reprogram it, so manual is always nearby for grabbing the tv code.

Product was delivered ahead of time and works well with my older Yamaha receiver.

If you are reading this, you are likely here because the volume control buttons on your current remote work intermittently. (volume controls are the most used buttons) This remote is a great replacement for the original Yamaha remote. I purchased this to replace my RAV331 Yamaha remote. You will need to set up any devices connected to the system that you want to control with the remote. (Blu-ray, DVD, TV, cable box, etc.) This remote sets up just like the factory remote. At the time if this review, the price point of this unit is a third of the cost of a new Yamaha remote.

It's very frustrating to try to turn your home theatre receiver on and off using a remote that sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, and occasionally turns off properly before cycling back on once again. Very frustrating! So I decided to look on Amazon for a new replacement and hoped for the best.This Anderic RRAV498 Replacement Remote for Yamaha Audio Receivers looks very similar to the OEM unit, close enough that it could be a clone -- which it probably is. So I had high hopes that this replacement would work seamlessly right out of the box.And it would have except for one little detail. The product page states that it is preprogrammed for my Yamaha Receiver and notes that it "only operates in ZONE 1". When my new remote didn't work right out of the box I had to stop and think about it. There is no "ZONE 1" on the remote but there is a ZONE A.Once I pushed the ZONE A button it started working immediately. So other than a little oversight on my part this remote has delivered as promised for about $24.52. That's a lot cheaper than a new receiver. Works great!

My Yamaha RX-V371 remote's volume buttons no longer worked. For the most part, this is a decent replacement but there is a different layout to the remote and not all the buttons are a direct match to the original's. Specifically, there is no "Stereo" button, no Audio 1/Audio 2 buttons, etc. You can get to the AVR functions that match these missing remote options but it takes a few more presses of buttons. Not a big deal. Easy integration to the receiver, no problems with the Setup functions. I have a new Samsung TV - this remote did not recognize the TV no matter the control code inputted but since the TV is connected via eARC, the TV controls the Yamaha so problem solved.Decent remote with some limitations.

It is identical of the original but much cheaper.
