Yes, provides tarnish protection for sterling silver and silver plated jewelry as well as gold, grass, copper, bronze, and others.

Q: How do the bags compare to storing the jewelry in baggies with silver polishing cloths? Is it different?

More expensive than silver cloth, but better protection from tarnish & scratches for more delicate & precious pieces, esp those pieces you might not wear often

Q: Product says 4x6" but product description say 4x5". Which is it? I've got a chunky, inflexible necklace I'd like to store in this bag.

The bag is actually 3 3/4 x 5 3/4. If your necklace is not flexible, it probably will not fit. I use my bags for bracelets. You might want to look for silver cloth bags for a necklace or buy the fabric and make your own.

Q: Can more than one chain or pendant be stored together?

I don’t see why you couldn’t. I would just worry about the chains tangling. I store two rings in one bag. That seems to be ok.
