I disagree with some of the reviews saying popcorn goes everywhere -which almost was a deterrent. On the contrary, we must have had three pop outside of the bowl onto the table and lost two kernels. There really is not an explosion all over the kitchen as described. Warm fluffy and tasty, I do not personally require the need for additional ingredients or flavourings at all. Of course you can do what you want and like. Shop bought popcorn sticks in between my teeth or is can sometimes be too hard, this however produces fresh tasty popcorn and doesn't happen. Great for healthier snacking and will replace bad snacks. So pleased with this purchase, it will certainly be used often. The pleasure of watching the kernels pop is actually part of the experience. The bowl is a great size and this is so easy to use. Well done Duronic!

This thing rocks! We recently got a projector so have been trying to make popcorn at home, in a pan, sans microwave - whilst we have had some lovely sticky sweet popcorn to eat, we have also had a smoke filled house, burnt pans, spilt oil (all over important documents!) and on this particular disastrous popcorn day, on top of the burnt popcorn we also had a nearby dvd case catch light?! 😱Plus hours spent trying to pick the good popcorn out of the the burnt wrecked popcorn and the unpopped corn. It was an exhausting stressful nightmare! I read a lot of reviews as it seems there are a lot of ropey popcorn makers out there, but this is not one of them! It is quick, effective, nothing gets burnt, there are a few unpopped corns but it’s no biggie.. it’s a nice clean design, and actually it didn’t need cleaning after use as there is no oil used and you don’t add your toppings to the machine - so that’s a massive result especially to my poor son who would usually be on washing up duty trying to scrape off burned on blackness that was on the pan! (Don’t feel too sorry for him, he didn’t try that hard 😉) So what was a hot sweaty, burning and frustrating half hour plus that resulted in not that much edible popcorn, a wrecked kitchen and burnt pots is now an easy, clean quick whizz-bang-pop and we have a big bowl of popcorn and NO mess!! The 50g they suggest (with measuring cup) seems ridiculously small but it was exactly the right amount for 3 people who like a biggish bowl full! My favourite topping (well it’s the only one I’ve tried and I see NO reason to change!) Is melted butter (about a big dessert spoon) and golden syrup (as much as you can get on and wrap round a dessert spoon!) melt together and pour on your popcorn and mix well. You’re welcome. This machine didn’t ping too much all over the place, which I think is a massive problem with most Machines but I was trying to hold a tea towel round it to stop this happening. It has hot air coming out of the top and some vents, so I don’t think it would be a good idea to cover it. What would be great was if the top section (that is the roof to the pot where the corn is popped) was nearly as wide as the bowl, then you wouldn’t want Drape a towel over and cause a poss fire hazard. But apart from that, I LOVE IT AND THE LACK OF HORRIBLE WASHING UP!

We love this popcorn maker, so good. The odd popped corn does fly out randomly but no big deal.

After my husband smoked out the house and burnt the saucepan, I went in search of a popcorn maker. This is so easy to use and completely mess free. The popcorn comes out perfectly ready to mix with different flavourings. Good value for money and no more lighting a candle for 2 days to get rid of the burnt smell!

So first with the good. Easy to use - you just put the bowl over the top, add a scoop of kernels and put the hat on and switch it on. Bob's your uncle, popcorn appears within minutes. Now the not so good. The amount of unpopped kernels leaping out is quite significant. I'd say a good 10%. Then, of those that do pop I'd say another 5% jump straight out onto the floor/table. The popcorn itself has a stale texture - not particularly crisp at all. Overall I'm not that impressed. What makes it worse is that we bought it for my 8 year old daughter and she's too kind to say anything bad about it. :(

I love popcorn and with my old machine it was always a problem getting the popcorn into the bowl and not on the floor. This is all in one and brilliant. Just take the bowl off the machine and into the chair for the evening.

This is the third popcorn maker that we have tried and is by far the best yet. Unfortunately not all the kernels are used during the making, even altering the amount placed into the maker, some unpopped kernels are ejected out with the popped corn. However it doesn’t affect the final output, the taste, the popped corn is very very good. The maker itself is very easy to use and clean and looks very good in the kitchen.

I wanted to buy a pop corn for my 4 years old son and I was not sure whenever I see reviews for makers and eventually I see this product. I like the design, especially it doesn't scatter every where, yes there are few scatter around but one should not add more than one spoon, actually it's best if you use little bit less than full spoon. I would take the opportunity to thank the supplier for delivering item one day earlier on my request as I didn't realise that it will be delivered on friday and this was day when we were leaving for holidays. I contacted Amazon, they requested supplier and I get it delivered on thursday. Definitely recommend this product.

Les pop corn sont excellents, bien aérés et d'une texture parfaite, surtout lorsqu'on utilise du maïs fait pour cet usage. Concernant le bruit, la machine fait un peu de bruit, mais cela ne dure que 3 à 4 min lors de la réalisation des pop corn, donc ce n'est guère excessif. Bref, je conseille ce produit pour les amateurs de bon pop corn.

Ero scettico inizialmente, ma devo dire che il prodotto fa quello che deve ed anche abbastanza bene, è sicuramente rumoroso, ma accettabile perché velocissimo, 2 minuti ed è tutto pronto. L’unica pecca è che lo scoppio dei popcorn, alcuni dei chicchi finiscono nella ciotola esterna non scoppiando, nelle mie 3 prove, è capitato quasi sempre che una piccola parte non si cuocesse.

Se recalienta mucho y a veces salta el termistor de temperatura interior parándose. En cuento al plástico transparente es muy sencillo y al cabo de poco tiempo se deforma. En cuanto al funcionamiento es normal si eliminamos el calentamiento.
