Surprising performers at a fantastic price point.
I'm a photographer and most of my shoots involve 4 to 5 off-camera remote flashes that require a lot of power. I need my batteries to recycle my flashes quickly, operate efficiently for a long time (several hours), maintain their charge when stored in a camera bag for weeks at a time, and have a nice long life. These are tough requirements for any AA NiMH battery and extremely tough for a battery that costs under $2 per cell. I started moving over to NiMH batteries once the cost of 20+ alkalines being burned out in a single shoot became ridiculous to justify. I knew I needed to move to rechargeables so I began my research and bought all kinds of batteries and chargers to start testing. I got them all... From the cheapest generics to premium Eneloop XX and everything in between. I used a La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger to do my charging and testing. Now, a year later, the results are in. The Tenergy Centura are the only Tenergy batteries that made the final cut and earned approval. They are a seriously low price point and perform up to their 2000 mAh claim... At least to begin with. The first set arrived in February of 2013 which is almost a year ago now. They have been thru dozens of recharge cycles and I have drained them flat on numerous occasions. Today I ran a test cycle on that first set and they all came in between 1903 and 1942 mAh without a refresh cycle being run. I did this because most people won't have chargers that will do advanced refresh cycles like the BC-700 will perform. If I refreshed them, they would probably meet or exceed their original 2000 mAh claim. The batteries hold a charge for a long time, they offer solid mAh performance, and come in at the lowest price of any of the batteries that made my approved list. Even other Tenergy batteries didn't make it including the blue high performance models which simply didn't perform up to Tenergy's claims. These perform on par with the Amazon batteries and close to the Eneloops. For under $2 a cell, you simply cannot go wrong. If you want a solid rechargeable at a great price, this is your set! For batteries with more horsepower, look at the Panasonic BK-3HCCA4BA eneloop pro AA High Capacity New Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, 4 Pack or the AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack) Pre-charged batteries which perform very well at higher mAh levels.

A great alternative to Eneloops
I own well over a dozen Shortwave and AM Dx radios (plus battery-powered active antennas). As such I own a lot of NiMH Batteries (AA, AAA, 9-Volt, C and D) by various manufacturers (Eneloop, Tenergy, EBL, Energizer, Rayovac, Amazon-brand & probably a few more). As such I feel I can make a good assessment of these Tenergy LSD/Low Self Discharge NiMH batteries. Before I give my review, let me state the importance of having a good quality Battery Charger. I typically use a Tenergy T9688 Battery Charger & an identical C. Crane-branded model as the T9688. If you don't have a decent charger, you won't get satisfactory performance from ANY NiMH battery! These Tenergy Low Self Discharge batteries indeed live up to their name - they do hold a charge for an extended time over my EBL, Energizer, Rayovac & Amazon-branded AAs. I find them so reliable that I ensure that the radios I use less frequently have these installed in them to ensure they have a charge when I go to use them (and so I do not lose any presets - like my local and World Time clocks). Comparing these to other brands, the Eneloops are the very best that I own (but they are also more expensive). I really like the Tenergy LSD - Low Self Discharge - as I find them to be a GREAT less expensive alternative to the more expensive Eneloops. Just an estimate based on my personal experience, but I'm getting about 80% of the Eneloop performance for 65% of the price. And I can definitively state that the Tenergy LSD perform better than EBL & the Amazon-brand, and far exceed Rayovac NiMH AAs - I'd rate the Energizer in-between the former and latter. Thus from my experience, based on performance I'd rate the name-brands as follows: (1) Eneloop, (2) Tenergy LSD, (3) EBL, (4) A tie: Amazon/Energizer ... and a VERY distant (6) to Rayovac (the latter seem to prematurely wear-out and I cannot recommend Rayovac). In summary, if you can afford Eneloop - buy those. But if you need a lot of batteries AND you want something that will retain their charge over a prolonged time of inactivity, I don't think you can go wrong with these Tenergy LSDs ... you can sometimes catch sales or specials where they are even less expensive than 65% of the Eneloop price.

I have used them several times since I bought them. This is a Pretty good rechargable battery set. Each time after charge, it can last at least 5 days. Good quality. Nothing issued.

Ya es mi segunda compra son pilas de muy buena calidad, me gustan más que energizar o Duracel recargables. También tengo Panasonic Japonesas y sin las únicas que son mejores que estas.

Iv'e used other brand name rechargeable batteries and they don't even come close to the performance of these Tenergy NIMH. I have been using them for over a year now in a portable radio and other batteries would have to be charged once a week, but these only once a month (with the same amount of use). I am very impressed and have since purchased other Tenergy products with confidence.

Decent battery for any gadgets other than Magic Mouse that only Apple battery works. I got AmazonBasics for Magic Mouse eventually and leave this one for my other gadgets.
