Latin Percussion LP601NY-VSB LP City Wood Bongos - Vintage Sunburst

These are professional quality musical instruments. They are beautiful and produce an amazing quality sound. They were more expensive than seemingly "comparable" drums but there is no question that they are WELL WORTH the extra few bucks. They are substantial, feel rock solid, have a consistent tone and play like a well-tuned set. We gave them as a Christmas gift to our oldest son who's a seasoned musician and we were singing and dancing to his rhythm minutes after he opened the box. Just a great instrument - will definitely look to LP for a set of congas next. So pleased with our purchase!!! A+++

This was a gift that met all expectations. A very nice instrument, with very exciting sounds.

5 with a ding. The macho had a processing nick that split on tuning. Interestingly the hembra had a similar texture, great tone, but also a see through nick or two in the skin. I really liked that sound, but after a speedy replacement from LP thought better of any gear exchange. The new skin is remarkably different, finer texture, thinner, darker. Viewing through at a light, not much irregularity other than natural anatomy. So happy for my bongo!
