Can this attach To a 2x4?

Not using the supplied hanger device shown in the picture. You could however use a lag screw or threaded J Hook to hang the gong off of a 2x4 if you like. ( Note the hole in the top of the target ) The application shown is for a steel wire fence post commonly sold at any of the big box hardware stores for about $6.00 - $8.00 ea. They are superior to a 2x4 in any case as they are steel and drive into the ground easily and are easily removed for relocation if desired.

Does the pole come with target?

No it doesn't. You can buy a t-post at Lowe's or any building supply place. They're about $4. Then just hammer out into the ground at least 200 yards away for rifle. Awesome target!
