The Girl From the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún Vol. 8 Paperback – March 17, 2020

This series really is fantastic. I’m so attached to the characters of Shiva and Teacher. This volume had my heart hurting for them! I’ll be ordering the next volume when it comes out October 2020 so I can continue to follow along on their journey.As an aside, the crow children crack me up! They are a delight to read.

Oh look, another 5 star in this series! This was just an absolutely wonderfully gut wrenchingly sad volume. I absolutely needed tissues for it, and I just don't know what's going to happen in the next one. But I don't think I'm ready emotionally to find out!

Series Info/Source: This is the 8th book in the Girl from the Other Side series. I bought this book.Story (5/5): Teacher has finally returned, but Shiva’s curse is spreading. Teacher finally decides to make the ultimate sacrifice to save her and give her his own soul. However, the effect this has on both Teacher and Shiva is devastating and Shiva once more finds herself in danger.This story is very deliberately paced but I continue to love it. A lot happens in this volume and I really want to know what happens next!Characters (5/5): I continue to love Teacher and Shiva and the strange bond that they have formed. This volume was pretty heartbreaking but I am curious to see what happens to them as things progress.Setting (5/5): I really enjoy this fairy tale-like setting haunted by a strange curse. We learn more about the curse in this book and get to venture out beyond the Other Side.Writing/Drawing Style (5/5): This is very well written and I continue to enjoy the unique drawing style.My Summary (5/5): Overall I continue to really love this manga series a lot. I know it’s not for everyone (my husband and son think it’s too slow). I however, really enjoy the unique drawing style and endearing characters. This continues to be a unique and high quality manga series with an eerie fairy tale like quality to it and I can’t wait to read more in this series!

I am crying still. The child that is Shiva and the Strange Child that is Teacher hold a place in my heart. Their relationship is so pure. The innocence, fantastic darkness, love, and brutality that are illustrated on these pages continues to leave a wake of desolation and hope.

Artwork and story stunning. The whole series is a masterpiece. Can't wait to get to volume 9.

More need more, the tale is winding to a conclusion. It is a dark and twisted tale that had me feeling down and hopeful then worried. The characters have taken such different turns and grown so much I want desperately to see how this will end.

Just opened to wrap for Christmas and the corner is bent back, very disappointed

The media could not be loaded.  Prepare yourself for suspense as Shiva takes the reigns in this volume and does her best for both herself and her teacher. I couldn't stop myself from reading and powered on. An amazing read as always!

Im so excited to read this! However when I got the product I noticed the front of the cover's corner bent.Not impressed.But otherwise, the book is in good condition!
