Gig Posters Volume 2: Rock Show Art of the 21st Century

Great compendium of alt rock posters done by accomplished graphic artists. Posters detach cleanly from book to hang nicely framed or not thanks to nice thick paper. Recommend highly as a great, inexpensive gift for a teen who has eclectic alternative rock tastes and wide interests. I was a hero when I showed up with this as a present for Christmas last year!

This book has a great assortment of "gig" posters,ranging in different music genre's from the year 2000+after.It gives a description of each artist+has 1 poster out of every 7 that is perforated+can be framed.There is actually 700 posters in this book!This book is a music lovers dream,well worth the price! I became familiar with this book at a local store. After physically examining and reviewing it, I decided I would check it out online for price comparison. I was pleasantly surprised when I found it on Amazon for half the price! This is a very cool compendium of gig posters from all over the world. I am tempted to buy the other volume (I have volume 2). The poster micro-perforations allow removal of your favorites to frame/hang on the wall. Very Satisfied. As usual, the Amazon buying experience was smooth.

The posters have a perforated edge and are easy to tear out. I framed bunch of them and they make great decorations.

I have these great posters covering my college apartment. Great looking and always a conversation piece when people first see them. Well worth the purchase.

Awesome posters! I bought a pack of 12 11x14 frames from Dollar Tree and hung some up on my wall. They don't fit the frame perfectly, but the white outlines blended with the frame backing.

The paper quality of the book is high end. Not only valuable as a collective book but also works for the decoration of your room. Each of pages is ready to cut and be attached to your desk wall.

This is a great book. I purchased it about a week ago and I've hardly plumbed the depths as it were yet; but I have already started framing some of the prints! It makes you want to buy two - one to take apart and one to keep mint. I like that it is in the 11 x 14" size which is fairly easy to find frames for. The only downside is it is only the 101 large size prints that take up a whole page; the rest are small since they wanted to pack a lot of content into the book - around 6 examples from each artist plus a full size print for each. So the large size prints may be hit or miss depending on your preference - a lot of my favorites were in small form and not full size, but it is no big deal since there is still plenty of eye candy here. Now I regret not jumping on the first volume; it went out of stock quickly before I could, as this one was just coming out. Now I'm hooked and I'll have to track it down from another seller. Other books in a similar vein I would like to get as well are 'The Art Of Modern Rock: The Poster Explosion' by Paul Grushkin, and 'Art of Rock' (the FULL size version which is pricey - don't buy the tiny one!) which is also by Paul Grushkin. I own a handful of original gig posters from the 60's which were not cheap, and to be sure they will remain a collector's item in the years to come, but buying one or two of these books gives many, many more prints to hang and just to admire for the same price or less than a single original poster. I think it is worth it if you are a huge music and modern art fan. I now have no lack of material to inspire me and decorate my walls with. Now to buy more frames!

Ce livre est une petite merveille pour tout fan de rock et de belles images . Elles sont toutes sublimes. Et détachable pour qui veut les encadrer. Vraiment parfait.

Sapevo cosa aspettarmi visto che ho deciso subito di comprare il n 2 avendo acqistato il n 1. Bellissimo come il precedente, molto piu' Rock direi. Molti poster di stili diversi adatti ad ogni ambiente. Peccato che molte volte i poster scelti per alcuni gruppi preferiti non sono i piu' belli. Ma questo dipene da gusti personali musicali che artistici. Sfogliando su internet troviamo molte altre immagini. Mi sono registrato al sito ufficiale ma sembra non sia possibile acquistarli singolarmente. Che dire; aspetto il n 3.

Se pueden recortar y poner como póster. Tamaño suficiente, buena calidad de papel y tintes. Una chulada. 5 estrellas! Salud!

I visited my friend in London, who had some lovely posters on her wall. After enquiring about them, I found that she had a book of posters bought for her by a loving boyfriend... Not having that privilege... I bought the book for myself and I haven't looked back since! My friend framed them in £7 black wooden frames from Wilkinsons... I got mine from Ikea, a pack of 3 for £3.99, you can't go wrong at that price! There are 2 volumes of this book... both are amazing, it's hard to pick which one to buy!)
