The wedge pillow is as described in the sales materials and appears to be a quality product. Without being attached in any way it stays relatively in its installed position. One does not want it to move around during the sleep period.

My mother became permanently bed bound after a stroke left her paralyzed on the left side. As a beginning caregiver, caring for a bedbound loved one requires the periodic rotating of the patient. 1 - you prevent bedsores on the back of their body. 2 - you allow for bowel movements to be normal since they are not able to move around like regular people. This is where the wedge pillow comes in.The wedge pillow makes rotating the patient much easier. In learning how to caregive, I went from trying to use regular pillows to rotate the patient to utilizing ideal products such as the foam wedge pillow to solidify the routine. With point number 2 (pun intended), I went from using laxatives every other day on the patient to depending on this pillow for rotation to prevent possible overdosing and addiction for the patient. This should be a base requirement if caring for a bedbound loved one / patient.
