As good as I've expected .

I bought this to replace an older US made carafe that worked very well at keeping my coffee hot. Unfortunately, a moving part of the cover broke, and I needed a replacement. I had previously purchased a Chinese made unit for my vacation property, which did not function nearly as well. when I saw that this product was made in Japan, I suspected that it would be a quality product, and I was correct. Although it's a more compact size than my previous carafe, it has the same capacity and keeps the coffee just as hot, with no moving parts to break.

Very good and practical flask. Managed to keep water hot / warm up to 2 days. Pleased with the performance.

No-nonsense thermal carafe that has everything that it needs and nothing unnecessary. Proven, timeless design from a brand that knows what is imporant in a thermal carafe. Works perfectly with all Japanese and American drip coffee filters. Coffee can be made direcly into the carafe and stays warm at least 12 hours. This is our 4th purchase of the carafe, replacement for a damaged one that resisted daily abuse in the office for the last 17 years. ------ I've returned to the review after several months. The carafe still works as expected, 5/5 stars.
